The Catalan and Manchester City's coach has refuted claims made by the Ivorian that he is racist. Yaya Toure who looks to be out of the club this summer has come out to air his view about the manager's perceived attitude towards players of African descent.

The Ivorian player who is over 30 years and looking to play for Manchester United endured spells out of the first team under manager, Guardiola has been vocal in the media about the Catalan manager refusing to field him on the basis of his nationality.

Kevin De Bryne had come out to defend his manager saying that players that work hard and are good get selected by the manager.

The manager himself, who is always found sporting the yellow ribbon indicative of support for Catalan freedom, has come out to say that all that the Ivorian had accused him of are lies.

"He is lying. He should have told me face to face"

The manager said that his decision to always have the yellow ribbon on is not just about Catalans but about freedom for those facing injustice.
