Zverev who found his way into what is so far his first Grand Slam quarter final back in Paris fell victim to the injury as he faced off against Dominic Thiem at the quarter final match of the French Open.

The 21year old had previously played three five setters before he went into that encounter with Thiem.

The German who fell in just the first three sets of the match against Thiem has stated that he is yet to know the extent of the problem.

A German press quoted him as saying that such kinds of muscle injuries are hard to decipher for the first few days.

He added that he was just going to go home, without trying to do anything to it and just take his time out to look at it properly so as to know how bad it may be.

He also added that it is his hope that the injury is nothing too much.

In just about one week, Zverev will be playing at Hale, in the grass-court event.

Zverev sits at the No. 3 position in the rankings.
