A function to check for duplicates kicks in at the time of publishing. When it finds that the content already exists, the rewards are lowered. Significantly.

When the above article was published, the check functionality was not working.

Later I published the same report os Steem -

Later again the Scorum check functionality started working again, checked all skipped articles, found the duplicated content and decided to give only 11% of the reward.

What a bummer!

1. Emptying the Steem article.
2. Waiting for five minutes
3. Editing Scorum post and republishing it
   
4. Waiting for the check to do its job
   
5. Filling back the content of the Steem article
6. Complete success!
