Daily Quest Reward: Champion II
I had one win on fire splinter after like 20 matches (not playing it every match or that would be terrible) and discarded. Then I got Death, which I thought would be hopeless. While playing to win instead of playing for Splinter, I happened to notice that certain opponents (groups of bots, I believe) were 'disappearing from battle' more often than normal.
I started playing whatever Death I could muster for the rule-set and got 4 of the wins I needed before things normalized and they started showing up to matches again. I hit Champion II with the 4th win and then things normalized and I lost several matches while playing Death before getting my fourth win, which knocked me back down to Champion III. Then I played to win instead of playing splinter and one more win bumped me back into II so I could climb at the higher level.
No gold, no legendaries, but at least a decent amount of rares and epics.
