Since culture is the way of life people and there is no way one can live in isolation. We deal with different people from different cultures everyday and sometimes we might offend them without knowingly since we have different cultures and beliefs.

How to deal with different cultures in one classroom
Dealing with people from different background and culture required a lot of wisdom and knowledge in order not to make one culture superior to another.

In a school or class where we have people of different ethnic group and culture, the teacher needs to go an extra mile to study them all and understand their culture and also understand the reason one behave the way he/she behave in other not to judge quickly.

The students must be made to understand that their culture is highly valued. The educator needs to always set aside some certain period to group students based on their culture to lecture the other students about their culture as per the dressing, food, language, festival, marriage etc. By doing this it will foster unity among the students and it will help them to know that their culture is appreciated.

In addition, whenever there’s any need to group the students for class-work, assignment or research, the teacher needs to mix them and should not group people of the same culture together. By doing this, the students will mingle together and they will learn to interact more and clear any bias feelings about co-students’ culture

Also, the teacher can foster unity among the students by organizing a way of giving gifts to those that understand other students’ language and part of their culture. This will encourage the students to have interest in their co-students’ culture thereby the friendship and love will keep developing day by day as one cannot learn from somebody without getting close to him/her.

How to handle conflict between learners from different cultures.
We know that conflict between learners from different cultures is bound to happen.
We need to look out for ways to handle that.

Firstly, the learners need to be taught on how harmful conflict can be to the realization of their goals as a student. They must be taught how to allow loving themselves in order to avoid conflict that will cause damage to their lives and future.

When conflict happens, the educator needs to first make enquiries as regards the cause of such conflict in order not to draw a conclusion that will destroy his/her image and the image of the school while causing more conflict among the learners.

When conflict happens between learners from different cultures, the teacher handling such class should make sure he/she did not treat the case with partial. For instance, if a conflict happens between a student from the teacher’s culture and a student from different culture, the case should be forwarded to another teacher that is from either of these cultures in order for one culture not to think that there is no fairness in handling it or there’s a form of favoritism.

The educator needs to set a high level of punishment to any of the students that fall victim of taken for granted other people's culture in order to create the fear of looking down on other people's culture and to appreciate each other’s culture while foster love and unity.
We all have our different cultures. All cultures are important. We need ourselves to survive. Let’s respect each other’s cultures.
