Hi there and welcome to my blog today. My name is Morgan Great and it is a big pleasure to have you here. Today, I would be taking you a list of things that I suggest or should I say recommend that you begin to do to make your weekends wonderful. This certainly wont be everything you can do to have a wonderful weekend has people vary and so does their taste or perspective too. At the end of this post, you might change your mind towards the way you spend your weekend and how you can enjoy it even while belong productive. Enjoy

1. READ A GOOD BOOK

Now I want you to go back and read that header again. It says “Read a GOOD book”. Okay, I just wanted to point out the idea of the book being a good book and not just some random books.

One of the best ways to have an amazing weekend is to read a book. What would I define as a good book? It is basically any book that adds meaning and valuable information to your life. Doing the weekends, we always try to escape stressful work probably because of what we have experienced during the week. The first thing that comes to our minds during the weekends is how we can rest and relax.

Well, while is good to refresh our bodies, it is also advisable to refresh the mind. Our mind feeds on knowledge and it is good that we feed it often. Reading good books that would either teach us something or add value to our lives is a game changer. By reading during weekends, you’re making your brain and mind still active while your body rests.

2. EXERCISE, WORKOUT OR ENGAGE IN A SPORT

Weekends are by far the best section of the week to engage yourself in sporty activities especially if you have a job, you are in school or you do things that eats up your time and energy during the week days.

Exercise, workouts and sports are high levels tasks that assist the body in becoming healthy. There is a saying that health is wealth and this means that if you must live a very prosperous outward life, you must pay a large attention to working out.

So working out during the weekends can ease your stress levels and other bio/chemical imbalances or defects in your body. It also helps you stay in shape and stay healthy. The best part is that sport is fun, big fun. Sports are most times more mentally challenging than physically challenging. Getting involved with sports might just be the thing you need to enjoy your weekend.

3. VISIT A GOOD FRIEND

Let me ask this question while you’re reading this- How well do you plan your meetings with your friends? I wish I could get an answer.

One thing I have come to realise about this information age is that friendships are no longer stronger like they used to be. These days, people don’t even value friendship that much especially now that the birth of social media isn’t a new thing. Visiting a good time or long time friend is a great way to spend your weekends.

The best way to go about this is to be very intentional about it. You would be surprised at how well your relationship with people would be scaling positively if you begin to set out time intentionally to meet people (close friends). Having a list of people to see every weekend and making them know on time helps then feel special because you are putting them into your plans. This also helps you to be productive because then you can work with focus during the week without any distractions from friends since you know you’d be meeting up by weekend. Try this and see if you won’t begin to enjoy your weekends.

4. SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY

We all came into this world through a family and in most cases we survive till the end of our days because of family. You reading this now might be an orphan, castaway or you probably don’t come from a good home. The good news is, everyone has a family.

One of the best things to spend your time with during the weekend is having quality time with your family members. Getting to know how your siblings, parents, cousins, aunts, uncles are faring in life is crucial. There are also chances that you can enjoy laughter, food or even money if you get to spend time with nuclear or extended family members whom you do not see often.

Learn how to set aside time for your family especially if you happen to be the type who isn’t always around or available for your family. In most cases, you’ll benefit a lot.

5. PLAN THE NEW WEEK

Yaay! This would be my favourite point because truth be told, this is one the skill I am still struggling to adopt. Someone once said that when something is planned, it is already half done.

One good thing to use the weekend for is to plan your new week. You can use the weekend to take note of the things that went wrong or went well during the ongoing week. You can also use the weekend to schedule tasks into various days of the coming week.

Remember, the idea is to make your week more fruitful, productive and amazing. Planning the week could be quite tasking but yet fun because you get to predict and arrange how you expect the new week to go.
