The Nigeria soup called "GBEGIRI"

Gbegiri soup is also known as Beans soup. Gbegiri soup is a yourba soup prepared with beans on it's own, it goes only with Ewedu soup with meat 🍖 from goat 🐐 or your kind of meat 🍖 stew.
THE INGREDIENTS USED IN MAKING GBEGIRI SOUP ARE:- * 150g of beans

  • A smoked fish
  • A spoonful of grounded cray fish
  • A cooking spoon palm oil
  • Pepper and salt to taste.

BEFORE YOU COOK GBEGIRI SOUP

*Ensure you have your meat 🍖 stew ready.
*Remove the beans coat and soak the beans in a warm water 💧 for about 45 minutes so that the beans would be soft, so as to reduce the cooking time.
*Prepare the ingredients like pepper and the crest fish.

COOKING DIRECTIONS

*Put the peeled beans into the pot and pour water 💧 that will cover the beans into the pot and start cooking.
*When the beans is cooking, you should start preparing the Ewedu soup which will be use with the gbegiri soup.
*You should cook the beans till they come soft that it will practically melts when you mash it with your fingers, and this will take about 1 hour, and you will need to be topping the water 💧 from time to time.
*Mash the very soft beans with a blender or a potato masher for a very smooth consistency.
*When you are satisfy with the smoothness of the beans add the smoked fishes, salt, pepper, crayfish, stock cube and palm oil.
*Cover and cook the soup for some minutes till the oil blends in with it.
*Stir so it does not burn.
Then the soup is done.

Then you dish the soup with Ewedu soup add the stew and your meat 🍖. You can eat with Amala or any other.

I preferred it with Amala (Yam flour). Try this out and you will see that the very taste of this soup will change your taste buds.
