10 Steem bounty: What are your favorite Crypto Videos?

in #steem-bounty6 years ago (edited)

Miko Matsumura at the 'Blockchain Unleashed' in London

This is an example for me that I came across recently of a talk that I really liked. It had somewhat of macro view on the entire space which I appreciate.

What are the videos and channels that are your favorites? I seem to be coming across new ones often, so clearly I don't know them all.

I am giving out 10 Steem for the videos that impress me the most. If you want to earn the bounty make sure to describe why you like a particular author or video so I can make a judgment without having to watch the whole thing. I would love to know what you have learned or seen that changed your perspective and expanded your mind.

10 Steem = $40 USD so I expect a bit of effort and explanation of why I should watch one. I look forward to your submissions and reasons

I look forward to learn from things videos that have impressed you!

What is a bounty exactly

A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly on top of the steem/sbd they get from the blockchain independently of SP.

You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.

Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments hoping for upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator.

The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the money goes and all other votes determine the rest. @steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically. You can use this service to automatically pay out a challenge, ask a hard question or simply to reward the people that interact with you.

My favorite videos of cryptos are those related to the psychology of trading, in general I have always been interested in psychology and I have realized in the little time I have learning from the world of cryptocurrencies that there are many chances of losing money, than to win it if you don't master some knowledges.

Many times it is easy to see it from the outside but once you enter and invest money the emotions tend to take hold of one, for example we begin to review the market every 5 minutes with fear that our investment will devalue.

I find the knowledge of trading psychology especially important not only for big investors and people with knowledge of cryptos but also for normal people like me who are learning to enter this business.

This video is a Chris Dunn interview with Jared Tendler, he has been into the trading market for 6 years and first of all he's an expert poker player (That's enough merits to merit the attention of someone in this topic), he explains some basic abilities to manage our mind in trading and compares it with playing poker, really interesting point of view, if you feel interested in this topic I can recommend you look also for Mark Douglas and Brett Steenbarger.

My personal conclusion is that knowledge of psychology and emotions are basic and personally I see it more important than the same knowledge of cryptocurrencies, or at least i give to it a higher priority level for those who are learning.

Thanks for sharing this video @knircky, I really like it. I am personally very interested in the whole VC thoughts on the space and Matsumura really knows his stuff :-)

Here are some of the videos I like:

The Bitcoin Revolution ( Documentary) Hidden Secrets Of Money Ep 8

This one I like mainly because Mike Maloney dives into the macro-economic things that have been happening in history and I am very interested in the history of money, monetary policies and societal economics. Maybe it's not the best stuff out there and Maloney is more a precious metals guy, he says some interesting things in the first 7 episodes (also to be found on Youtube) and this 8th episode where he touches on Bitcoin/crypto.

Blockchain vs. Bullshit: Thoughts on the Future of Money

For me no Bitcoin and blockchain without Andreas Antonopoulos. I like Andreas his style because he is really about educating the people about blockchain and Bitcoin. I've learned a lot from him when it comes to how blockchain works, consensus mechanisms, trade-offs to be made within technological choices etc.

Blockchain Beyond Bitcoin - with Vinay Gupta | Virtual Futures Salon

Vinay Gupta is a visionary if you ask me. His thinking goes beyond almost everyone else about the space. He bases his thoughts on what he has seen and puts everything in a macro-economical perspective. He says some really powerful stuff in this interview.

And last, if you feel a bit more like watching a 'conspiracy themed' documentary, watch this one:

Ulterior States [IamSatoshi Documentary]

Enjoy watching these! :-)

One of my favourite cryptocurrency videos was interview with Zhao ChengPeng, Binance's Founder and CEO. He spoke about his view on the future of cryptocurrencies and explained how Binance selects, which new coins to list.

My Favorites are the videos from the Savjee's YouTube channel here- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnxrdFPXJMeHru_b4Q_vTPQ

The two playlists that I like the most are related to Blockchain working and how to develop something similar. You can check them out here-

I liked this video because it can be used to describe cryptocurrency to anyone and they use the best example starting off with Bitcoin because everyone has heard of bitcoin. It’s a dumbed down version of what we know and what we may not even know . Even from this video I learned a few things that I never knew .

i like this guy, i ended up on his channel just by chance, wondering how to register my eos tokens.
He is an accountant and what i really like about his videos is his business view applied on crypto: meaning that you should ask what projects out there have a business-revenue model, a good idea is not good enough, not even a working prototype.....
how will you make the platform/utility coin profitable, how will you do the marketing, is the company/project sustainable, how will you convince people to use it: does it have a niche or does the coin has an actual use case.....
and i love how he trolls or bash most of the projects meaning that crypto market right now is irrational and many projects doesnt deserve their current market cap valuation....its all speculation

that one i really like it

and my plan b video is from a guy who analyses deeply the centralized-descentralized systems and offers a pros and cons like analysis about the two of them and explained the problems that descentralized crypto systems have in order to get mainstream and used by many people....

I like YouTube channel by Crypt0. It gives me basics, inside interviews and in-debt analytics on why to buy or sell some of the coins. The way it is presented is also very clear, understandable and it is also fun watching their show.

There are some similar videos and also the full video of the hearing but I think the USA Senate hearing was a turning point for crypto that had been on the way down leading into the hearing.

A steemit user named @marketreport is the best of all by providing crypto updates. His explanation is easy to understand. Thanks for sharing this post.
