Emigrate, synonymous with farewell

in #steem-bounty6 years ago

When it's time to say "see you later".

In my country Venezuela, we are going through an inevitable wave of emigration, we all have a friend, a relative, a known one who has left. Or we know of someone who has had to say goodbye to someone who has left the country. Mainly to look for options outside, alternatives that somehow offer them possibilities of improvement as for example quality of life, since unfortunately this has been lost in the country.

When you decide to leave

Fuente

Making the decision to leave is definitely not easy, many may be completing projects to close a cycle (so to speak) before leaving. On the contrary, others must abandon projects because they have to leave, some want to leave, others simply have to.

When you decide to leave, it's like a constant farewell process. Once you enter the final straight, in the last months or days that you have left in the country (at least at this moment), and that you really internalize what is going to happen soon, reality is divided. You think about how sad it is that you have to leave, and the things that you have to abandon in some way (goods, efforts of years) and the people that you will undeniably have to stop seeing. Those that you will not be able to embrace and feel (at least in a while).

Uncertainty

One of the most difficult things that the emigrant must go through is uncertainty. It is not about leaving and knowing that there are loved ones that you will not see in some time, is that you do not know if that time includes days, weeks, months or years. Know that today you say until later with the hope of a better tomorrow, and with the intention of meeting again very soon (although you have not left yet).

The uncertainty of knowing if you will be better elsewhere, and be aware that it may not be like that (or at least in the first months) but your struggle moves you internal, your faith that things will turn out well and that you have the capabilities to make that happen.

Decide to be you who should take the risk, because even though you know that this hurts, beyond yourself there are reasons that keep you firm in the battle.

The inevitable changes.

Source

Change the geography in which you have grown, the culture that for whatever reasons is that you belong to, change your gastronomy, for a different one. Change your place, and leave those things in your place of birth, even if you decide to take it with you wherever you go.

And somewhere, wherever you go, create a particular space that is the closest thing to your country to at least feel somehow at home.

Change hugs and conversations between laughter and stories, video calls expressing the best of your day (because sometimes you have to shut up what might worry who is far from you, and you know I would like to help you)

It's your turn to restructure, it's up to you to be strong enough to continue fighting in this personal battle where you feel that surrender is not an option.

It's your farewell with an important part of you, is to say until then everything you knew so far. The places, the panas, the friends, the couple, the children , the family and all that that in some way have made you what you are.

Arrived at the moment

Even though you have experienced this again and again in your mind, even though you have lived it through other people, although you think you know what is going to happen, it is inevitable to feel that you fail, that moment just where you know you put a point, with the hope that it is a suspension and continue writing the story without changing the protagonists.

The moment where you think many things, and some will be able to say everything (even what they had thought not to say) others will only be silent, because their emotion will wrap them up.

But that decisive moment, to which the majority flee, have to say goodbye, is one of the events that we observe every day in my beautiful country. Entire families have scattered around the world in search of a better future, pains that have changed place, but remain the same. People who have found a better quality of life somewhere else, but inside something breaks every time they know that a relative suffers in this beautiful land that goes through bad times.

As well as the one who still remains here. In addition to fighting on a daily basis, he faces the daily absence of not having close to that person who is now a kms.

We never think about living this, we have definitely seen in our country how there are different nationalities and everyone has fled from their country for different reasons. Today we have to consider the idea of looking for others paths to create another reality. Letting go of material things that may be the summary of years of effort, and lay off beloved people, to give us the possibility to continue forward and asking GOD that effort will allow you to be back in that place that you love with people that make it special.

Without saying more, this is only a reality of life, hard, difficult and without filters. Where it seems that in some way we all will have to live it. I ask GOD for the necessary strength for all those who have had to say until later, to fight for a better tomorrow.

It is very hard for every person who has to leave their country, friends and family behind.
