Steemit Cartoon: Draw and be Drawn

Hi there steemians... after a quite long silence, here I am again, posting to share another topic here.

As a cartoonist, I have to admit, whenever I draw cartoons, I always relate to “real people” and their behaviour. This may bring the characters and the stories closer to my audient’s heart. The other approach is by drawing caricatures.

Caricature is another ‘branch’ of cartooning. Many cartoonists can draw good caricature., but on the other hand, not all cartoonists out there
can produce good caficature.

I do not want to elaborate more on ‘what caricature is’ for most people had already known and understood the meaning. If I may add, the degree of exageration in drawing caricature is not the same. Some exagerated the feature in one’s face so much but some may end up looking like a portrait drawing, the cartoon version...

This is ME... A curicature of mine, drawn by Katon Aqhari, a promising and talented young curicaturist . Karton had drawn me a few times after we got yo know each other in the social media, years ago.

Next to it is the picture of mine which Katon used as reference.

Prior to that, Karton had also draw me for no specific reasons. According to him, those are part of his ‘learning process’ to sharpen up his skills. But why me?

I had been drawings many people’s face as a caricature or simple portraits. By order, assignment or even for other purposes. i also sketched their face whenever I felt bored during a meeting or even while waiting for too long, Least that I expected, people around me also like to draw me.

Rossem is another legendary vateran cartoonist who used to draw me a few times. Normally, in return, I shall draw him back and we exchanged art works.

Some of Rossem’s works had also been published in my books, couples of time.

I remember Rossem said to me, he enjoyed drawing me of which he considered as ‘easy to draw’... 🤨

Even Sabri Yunus, the famous actor of Pok Ya Cong Codei fame had put up his drawing talents to sketch my portraits.

Thanks guys... I coukd never thank you more. These only representing many more works by friends and fans that I could not put up here due to space constrain, but clearly showed how others’ effort to also draw you while you are drawing them.
