Cereal Mascot Horror Movies #5: Charmed

Schoolmates Ryan, Steven, and Angela have a plan to catch Lucky the Leprechaun and get his Lucky Charms! The week before they set that plan in motion, however, Angela breaks her arm in a soccer game and is forced to sit the adventure out. Her disappointment soon turns to worry when Steven and Ryan fail to return, and then confusion and horror when their families, the authorities, and the community at large seem not only untroubled by their disappearance but unaware the two ever existed.

Angela then begins a one-girl investigation into what really became of her friends. As her search uncovers clues into the history of Lucky the Leprechaun and his time-and-space-defying marshmallow powers, she begins to wonder how such a powerful and clever being could be bested again and again and again by children. Is he letting himself be caught? Are his Lucky Charms really a magical treasure? Or are they just bait? By the end of the movie, Angela will arrive at a horrifying understanding of Lucky's true nature and how marbits are really made.
