Rookie Cop and the Devil Hunter

Boy, some day this is....

Anyways, this time, it's about 2 games which performed really well during the first quarter of 2019. Both games are by the japanese video game company Capcom. Strangely, both game franchises has influence on each other.

This is the story of these two game franchise.

Basically, this is a Resident Evil 2 remake and Devil May Cry 5 fanarts represented by Leon S. Kennedy and Dante respectively. I personally cannot play this games since I don't have the hardware.... But the buzz is great for these games so far!

During the development of Resident Evil 4, there is this idea of switching the gameplay style of Resident Evil to be more action packed than the previous Resident Evil installments. This proves too much as this idea sways too far from what Resident Evil stands for. However that idea was made to an entirely new intellectual property, thus the Devil May Cry series is born out of that scrapped idea. Resident Evil 4 did however incorporate some elements from the idea, such as having the horror elements of Resident Evil 4 pace to a more action oriented gameplay, and Leon, the protagonist has some cheezy one liners in that game similar to the wisecracking Dante from Devil May Cry. In turn Devil May Cry still has some mild horror elements. Even Dante looks a bit like Leon. Both games performed really well, and is considered some of the best games at the time.

History repeats itself.....

Both Resident Evil 2 remake and Devil May Cry 5 performed really well this quarter of 2019. So it's nice to them back after years of identity crisis and lost sense of direction.
