Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 38 Preview

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

This is it guys, the last gameweek of this season. Tomorrow we are approaching the endgame.

The only thing that isn’t clear is who will be lifting the trophy. Manchester City is winning so far with 95 points followed by Liverpool with 94 making it the best performance for the second place in the history of the league.

The other 2 champions league spots are going to Chelsea and Tottenham. For Spurs their fourth place isn’t 100% secured though, however Arsenal would need to win, hope that Spurs losses and then overcome 8 goals of difference.

Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff will be leaving us after the next gameweek.

In this gameweek all the matches will be played simultaneously on Sunday.

Burnley will be playing against Arsenal at Turf Moor. The Gunners might be resting some of their players after using all their players for their europa league match.

Palace will be playing against Bournemouth. Palace are better on the road and are the second worst team at home. The cherries is usually better at home, but their away results haven’t been that bad.

Leicester will be playing their last match against Chelsea at home. The foxes are also better on the road, but Jaime Vardy usually delivers against the top 6. Chelsea might be considering rotating after having all their key players play 120 minutes against Frankfurt on the Europa League.

Fulham will be saying goodbye by hosting Newcastle. The toons are usually worse away than at home and Fulham has recently had good results at home.

Cardiff will be bidding farewell to the premierleague on Old Trafford against Manchester United. The Red devils recently have a better form at home. That being said, it is very likely that players such as Pogba might be rotated for this last gameweek.

Southampton will be playing against Huddersfield at home. This might be a great opportunity to bring Southampton midfielders

Spurs will be hosting Everton. Son won’t play as he is suspended, Kane is injured and Vertonghen will most likely miss this match…

Watford will be playing against West Ham.

Manchester City will be playing their final match against Brighton. For the citizens a victory will give them the title. Fernandinho won’t be available due to an injury and De Bruyne is doubtful. Considering that City doesn’t have any european matches I believe that they should use the same lineup as last week.
Meanwhile at Brighton the capitan Bruno will be playing his last match as a football player

Possible starting lineups:
City: Ederson, Walker, Laporte,Kompany, Zinchenko, Gündogan, David Silva, Foden, Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Agüero
Brighton: Ryan, Bruno, Dunk, Duffy, Bernardo, Stephens, Bissouma, March, Jahanbakhsk, Murray

At last but not at least Liverpool will be playing their last match against Wolverhampton at home. Liverpool will need to win and hope that Brighton helps them. Wolverhampton is usually strong against the top 6, especially at home, however Liverpool has won their last 5 matches at home, on the other hand the Wolves have only got 4 points in their last 5 away matches.
For Liverpool Keita and Firmino won’t be available, Robertson is highly unlikely to be back after his injury against Barcelona on Tuesday. Salah could be returning but he is doubtful.

Liverpool: Allison, Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk, Matip, Milner, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Mané, Salah, Origi
Wolverhampton: Patricio, Coady, Bennett, Boly, Doherty, Dendoncker, Moutinho, Neves, Jonny, Jota, Jimenez

Since this is the last gameweek many teams might consider rotating their nailed on players.
Fortunately for us all the matches are starting at the same time, so you could wait until the deadline to make your changes.
Good Luck!

As an Evertonian, I felt quite accepting towards City becoming champions yesterday.

Either way, how much prize money was raised for this season's Steem Fantasy League?

I will be counting the exact amount soon and the account it was stored on is still being powered down but it should be somewhat around 5500 Steem with ~70% going to EPL + another 50% of the total going to the authors.

I guess this was supposed to be posted yesterday because as of now, Manchester City have won the league and the last matches of the season have been concluded.

@acidyo, I am not watching this premiere league but in my opinion Manchester City is favorites. Let's hope that game will win. Stay blessed.
