Steem Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 11 Overview

With a gameweek rank of 2.6 million I’m really disappointed with how my own team performed, but at least I’m back on track with my steem-picks. My pick for this gameweek was Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) and he delivered just as I expected against a Burnley side that isn’t as good as the Burnley side we are used to from recent years. With 12 points (it could easily have been more) in West-Hams’ 4-2 win on Saturday Arnautovic registered his second double-figure score of the season. Arnautovic was involved in absolutely everything for the Hammers and ran the show in an impressive performance. If stays fit he could become essential.

Manchester City scored for fun and Raheem Sterling (11.1m), Sergio Aguero (11.4m) and Leroy Sané (9.2m) were unstoppable in their 6-1 trashing of Southampton. Sterling who has been overlooked by FPL managers and who is only owned by 7.8 % is now on 77 points after his 21 points score (the biggest score by a Fantasy Premier League player in a single Gameweek this season) this week. He is now only two points behind Hazard (11.3) who has scored most points among midfielders so far. Liverpool and Arsenal played in my opinion one of the most entertaining matches of the season in a 1-1 draw at the Emirates but fantasy owners of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were left empty-handed once again. Spurs, Chelsea and Man Utd all took three important points while Newcastle managed their first win of the season in their 1-0 win over Watford. Before, under an after the game between Cardiff and Leicester there were emotional feelings and tears and all ended in a Leicester City win. I think even the Cardiff fans felt Leicester, as a club, deserved it after the tragedy with the helicopter crash the weekend before.

What did we learn from gameweek 11?

If you are looking for a mid range midfield player or just don’t want Arnautovic from West Ham his team-mate Felipe Anderson (£6.8m) is a good option. He managed more shots on goal than Arnautovic at the London Stadium and looked dangerous. He scored twice and recorded 13 points. The Brazilian is involved in his tems’ set pieces and has created nine chances in the last four Gameweeks which means there is also assists to come.

Richarlison (£6.8m) is owned by 25+ % of all FPL teams and when he has a gameweek like he now had, scoring a brace and 15 points, it really hurts to be a non-owner. There has been talk about that he cannot play as a centre-forward and that his points will dry up if he continue to play in that role but after an excellent display on Saturday he may has shown all doubters to be wrong.

Morata (8.7m) is still alive. After scoring a brace (13 points) against Crystal Palace this week Morata has now scored four goals in four matches and is suddenly becoming an option in FPL again. It’s still to be seen if he can keep on scoring but the recent goals should have helped him gain some confidence at least.

The Aleksandar Mitrovic hype is over, at least for now. After blanking (fifth in a row) in Monday night’s match at Huddersfield he is already the most-transferred out player of Gameweek 12 and the sales of the Serbian striker will surely only intensify.

Gameweek 11 average score was 52 points. The world number one manager (from Finland) with his team “LTU” scored 91 points this gameweek and has now a total score of 853 points, 123 points more than “Meitanteiteam” that is till the leader of our Steem fantasy league. Meitanteiteams’ score of 730 points is enough for place 16,144 in the world at the moment. The world number one team got 47 points from captaining Aguero and having Sterling in his team but that though, were bettered by “Team Tim TimmehIn” who were the highest scoring team in Steem fantasy league this gameweek. He also owned Aguero and Sterling but putted the captain armband on Sterling instead. A gameweek score of 97 points made the team climb to an eight place in Steem fantasy league. Well played!
