This year was hard for many Cryptocurrency investors. Most difficult is for people who can't wait too long with their investment. Many people are asking who is selling at these low prices. There will always be sellers. There is hundreds of reasons why somebody needs money and they have to sell even at this depressed prices.

If you are not in this situation than you can be relaxed and you can use this situation to even buy more quality coins. We are all here STEEM users. I don't believe that is going to be lot of chances to get STEEM at 1.7$. If you are questioning some other projects will they fulfil promises, Steemit is working project and we have over 1 Million accounts! There is much less daily active users but overall everything is growing and improving.

I have raised my STEEM investment these days and I plan to buy more if price drops more.I believe STEEM will be worth at least 10$ maybe even in 2018 so I really think that this is good opportunity to buy.

I am not financial advisor and if you wanna buy STEEM you should do your own research, this is just my opinion.

While we are waiting Bitcoin and whole Crypto market to recover, here is nice interview with Tim Draper who predicts that Bitcoin will be worth 250k USD until 2022.

I would like to hear your opinion about STEEM.

Thanks for the guidance @cicbar!

It's always been said to buy low and sell high, so does make sense. We have something in the works that might help you get yourself more exposure.

Thanks @timm :-)

First I have to admit that even I'm thinking about buying some Steem.

Further I think that the price could drop much more. The only thing we need is some terrible news today or in the coming days. Don't you think this would be a possible scenario?

I really don't understand why people need to sell? I mean every advisor would advice only to invest if you don't need the money for a long time. So what happened with those sellers? Just bad decisions? Or.....?

You wrote there are over 1,000,000 users and everything is growing and improving. About the improving part we can probably have a long discussion, because it's subjective. But about the growing part I'm not that sure.

This clearly shows that the number of posts+ comments is decreasing as of the beginning of 2018. The peak was 280k and we're now at 150k. Almost 50% decrease and it doesn't seem over.

The number of unique monthly users is also decreasing as of January. Starting at 196k down until 151k in May. This decrease is getting close to 25%. And although June has not yet finished I am pretty sure we will end below 150k.

Now I'm really curious to know which numbers you used to argue that things are growing?

It is just a matter of time frame that you are looking at. Take a one or two year charts an you will see. By your time frame you can say same for Bitcoin, from January price and number of transactions are much lower but longer view is much different...

That is a fair point.

From each perspective we try to predict the future. Using the long term trend, the future looks bright. Using the middle (or short) tern trend the future looks less bright.

I really don't understand why people need to sell? I mean every advisor would advice only to invest if you don't need the money for a long time. So what happened with those sellers? Just bad decisions? Or.....?

Yes. Exactly. The marginal sellers are the weak speculators. Volume has been very low since the giant move in December 2017, so it's minimal trading affecting the price now. The VWAP is almost unchanged.

People who have been buying and powering up can't react to these price movements this quickly because of the 13 week power down.

What does VWAP mean?

Volume Weighted Average Price. It's a measure of what the average market participant has paid for the issue over the time span.

So with the fall in the price of STEEM, volume of trade on the exchanges has collapsed. Yes, the price is going down, but not many people are actually buying or selling.

We shouldn't regret this opportunity later! I have bought some BTC, ETH and I'm looking for good STEEM/ETH rates to change!

Agree :-) Good luck with your investment!

The market is manipulated... price was stopped 7500 $ there, weeks back ... but because market manipulators got ran out Coins what they can take out fast... so they launched a hacker attack to bring down market even more.

This what I see.

There is some kind of manipulation for sure. People who are not believers in Bitcoin are selling their tokens. Manipulators shaking weak hands always...

Yes... this why hold coins and not move is the best thing to do here.

Agreed :-)

Steem is indeed one of the best investments which one can make at the moment. Not so much for the people who aren’t on the blockchain but the one who are active here day in and day out couldn’t make a better call!
I did power up last night. Only 50 steem but bit by bit we are getting closer to minnow status!
Cheers,
Peter

Even 50 means something 💪

I hit the clearance rack on steem today, couldn't help but pull the trigger and pick some up. I was worried I missed the bus for the next several months after it bottomed a month and a half ago, but luckily I got to get in. If it keeps dropping it will be extremely tempting to pick up more. The 1.80 price is very interesting, if it stays there a while we could see some lows we certainly weren't expecting. I do not think the story has changed enough with steem to warrant the collapse in value.

Same situation. Price is too good not to buy and even if it drops more, my voting power will be higher and I won't regret buying 😁

I agree. I don't see this as a dip only but i see this as an opportunity, an opportunity to invest.
I think it's best to invest in steem because by the end of 2018 it will touch the sky.

I hope we are right 😀

I'm also optimistic and believe that in couple of months, investors will have big smiles on their faces. Definitely not time for selling! Patience is the key-word here ;)

Agreed :-)

There is a lot of decrease in earnestimes, we are in a lot of trouble. We'll be happy if the price goes out again

for those who invest, have lot of patience, fore steem will be better again,@cicbar,☺️

Agreed 🤝
