The Beginning
It all started 975 days ago, on May 11th, 2016 with this article:
Is Steemit Yet Another Bubblews?
This silly little post was answered immediately both by @dantheman and by @ned.
Yes, those were the days when we were few and things were very personal and direct.
Fast forward to today
In between things happened, ups and downs, a proper rollercoaster of emotions, developments, actions, exhilaration, and disappointments. Not to mention crypto world's peculiar twists of fate. Not to mention forks nor swans :)
In short:

- 3,488 followers,
- 1,202 following,
- 2,227 articles,
- 7,773 comments,
- 10,170 replies,
- 29,507 upvotes given,
- 78,246 upvotes received.
Huge numbers.
What is even bigger ...
.. are relationships and friendships. Your friendship!
I won't be naming any names and I'll use the obvious excuse. There are so many out there that I consider as close friends.

Every post is a voice, is a flower, is a raising tower of light, it has the potential of a burning sun, it gives life, shares ideas, reveals emotions. It is a universe on its own.
The Future?
I don't know what the future holds for us. For myself, I will stay faithful to the platform which sports projects like @runningproject, @actifit, even @steemmonsters.
The year 2019 won't be easy and the next months will be crucial. Our strength as a community will be questioned.
I am and I remain an optimist.
As a poet once said:

There's a double meaning in these words. As is often a case in life. It is our decision how do we receive the message and what do we do with it.
It is our mission to cooperate and build and help each other.
You can always count on me when it comes to help, transparency, positive energy and positive action. That's a promise!
