I have been into crypto since Aug 2017 but I still consider myself a rookie like most people are. There are a few things which I have learnt at the time I used to day trade to make small profits. But most of the things I learned when I did not do anything. Because all the money I had invested in crypto is now close to zero, THANKS TO THE BEAR MARKETS! I have never sold anything while it was low. Which means everything I have invested so far is still there as it is because it never came up since January 2018. This year has been crap so far but I did not expect this to be golden just like 2017, so that's okay. I am into this for long term and that is how everyone should be.

Bitcoin has already touched its ATL of 2018 in the past few days and the market seems to bearish since the starting of this year. But last night everything went green. Do not get too excited, it is still $100 over $4k only which is quite less as compared to last year.

There are a few things you can do if you are frustrated with the market situation right now:

  • Rethink your strategy, of selling coins. Never ever sell when it's low. So basically right now is not the time because every alt coin in collaboration with Bitcoin have gone underground. You can let go of some coins which you think cannot perform over the next few months but unless you need that money, do not touch it. Panic selling is not going to help you or anyone else. Crypto is for long term investors. It's not a "get rich quick" scheme.
  • Buy your favorite coin, such as Steem or or whatever which can increase your influence. It's sale time guys. If you believe in the vision and the project, why not invest in it at the right time. You might have been hearing that we would not get these coins for so cheap. Which is kind of true and false at the same time. No one knows! But one bull run and the sale's over.
  • Do not stop creating content. I see many people have stopped posting on Steem or on their favorite content based blockchains. Just remember, this is the perfect time to get noticed. Not many people are posting blogs/vlogs. People with sufficient power or influence are looking for the faithful members of the community. If you keep posting, there is a good chance you will earn something. Rewards are low but not ZERO.
  • Have a backup at all times. Crypto is volatile and it can change the whole world upside down at any moment. It's not a reliable source of income. If you are dependent upon day trading or content creation, then you are in some pain right now. Please have a recurring source of income which is seperate from the crypto world. It helps you survive in the ocean and you will not feel hurt that much.

These are the few things that you can do or have in mind while making your mark in this ecosystem. Let's just hope these bad times will get over soon. But until then, don't stop creating. Be hungry! Be Foolish! Wish you well!!!!
