Are You HODLing Steem or Fleeing From It?

With the current Steem price and other crypto dropping once again, continuing the bearish trend. What will we be doing? This is a very relevant question for us, especially we are still opting that Steem has its value and that is why we are still here with it. Nevertheless, there are people who started power down way before that when the whole crypto market has started gone bearish ever since. So, what is your take in such a trend?

Are you still HODLing? Or will you be selling off and stop blogging on Steem?

There is obviously a sharp drop of active users on Steemit itself after HF20. As a whole, the economic cycle is currently moving towards its trough with a recession (hopefully it is not a depression). Crypto and even stock market are not doing well which we can see red sea everywhere. Some said that it is a correction period whereby assets start to return to its true value. With that being said, there will be a lot of assets on sale due to the demand of cash to survive such recession. It is definitely a great time for those who have liquid cash to purchase cheap assets and leverage through time. Just like how Steem is currently at a jaw dropping $0.29 per Steem.

I purchased some amount of Steem as per my asset distribution ratio, not to over invest as it may affect my whole finance planning and security. While at it, I view crypto currency as a part of investment plus business. Investment as in having a stake in the blockchain and business is where I operate and manage accounts, organizing community and initiating projects. Without a doubt, my time cost on Steem blockchain is at a very low productivity now with such a low price value.

Fortunately, @ned just announced the roadmap and planning for RocksDB and SMT Lite which brings us some light as Steemit Inc. is currently undergoing a huge retrenchment and restructure. With this roadmap made public, it is an assurance for us that we will see development for the ecosystem which will bring more value to the users especially for developers to build more Dapps that are efficient and sustainable (economically).

Again, I am currently planning on how to insert business into the Steem blockchain as I always believe that without the revenue and cashflow generated by the business, none of the infrastructure will be sustainable. Even for charity, it is very dependable on businesses to channel their revenue to sustain the good deeds. Therefore, it is important that the Dapps that are based on Steem blockchain which surfacing in the near future should focus more on business feasibility. Without that, we will only be draining the money pool of Steem itself and have no return of investment for the earlier investors.
