Steem! Fear of crash || Analysis.
After completing 2 years on the steem blochain, I've not seen price go down so drastically that there could be a psychological fear in people's mind.
- The last time steem started dropping was in "August- 09- 2016" where in the price deopped from $3.4 USD and touched the lowest $0.09 USD. And the fall lasted almost a year!!
We are witnessing similar pattern currently where is steem has fallen from it's ATH of $8 in 2018 to the current price.
Since the start of the 2019 the price of steem has been hit hard by the Cryptocurrency industry's downturn. Even though BTC grew 4x from $3k.
I can believe that steem may come close to $0.1 USD and eventually drop further below. And there's no denying that for me.
- Steem has fallen 97.6% from it's ATH price. And within this year steem has given a negative return of 81%. No doubt that the investor who invest this year have lost a big amount of money. "I lost too! Bought steem at $0.3 usd and am loosing almost half of my investment.
What I Think:
Even though people may panic and sell steem today, the most important thing to note is that you can made average of 17-18% annually. Which means you'll reduce your losses and profit 100% in some year.
You should note that your vote gives your return of over 18%. (0.5÷1,000×100×365 **Condition being that you're not a spammer that wants to rape the reward pool.)
The power of compounding is grater in longterm. The value of steem may have fallen in terms of USD, but the amount of steem in number keepa growing. (The more you accumulate the better it is)
Regardless what the steem prices may be now, and since the graphical data range to less to analyze the future value, but one most note that steem has had 3 instances where in the value dropped drastically but grew in time. I strongly believe that the prices will give me better returns and am not bothered of what the price is, i will buy more in the later stage as i got no money atm.
