Ranting about prices won’t make things any better...
It’s been almost a whole year of a bear market. And even though many of us got caught in last year’s hype, markets made a correction...
I know, I know...it is a huge correction but whatever goes rapidly up, like last years bull run, must at some point go down again
This is the circle of life. It’s how things roll...Now the real question is: Do you still have faith in crypto currencies? I bet you do, otherwise you wouldn’t be around would you?
You know what they say...when there is blood on the streets, go out and buy...even if it’s your own blood too...
I know that lately most of the news Ned is sharing with us all aren’t exactly promising regarding steem’s future. But remember, Ned is the CEO of a private company.
It is totally understandable that he wants to reduce the costs of his business. In fact that is what all profitable businesses around the world do. Reduction of costs - maximization of profits...
He is not steem...
We are...
And steem’s future depends on us. On every developer, on every investor, on every content creator, on every curator...
If everyone does their part and focuses on what he is good at, then there is no doubt that steem will succeed big time

How right you are. I think I'm going to write a(nother) post about the real reasons we're here. Getting a bit tired about all the ranting about the prices of cryptocurrencies in general, tbh. I see how this becomes a priority when you're all-in or have a significant part of savings invested, I understand that and feel for anyone currently caught in that trap. But please, people, the real fight is not for profits, but for a major and much needed paradigm shift. If that's your fight, price should be the last thing to worry about.

And to be honest I feel sorry for those who are all in to crypto. They simply don't follow the basic principal of investments. Cliche but....raw reality
I understand very well what @ned is doing, I would do the same...the only thing I don’t understand is why he didn’t do a proper risk assessment before, which is what any consistent private company do...
Now he is just reacting to the consequences of a long bear market without a long term strategy IMO.
Anyway, hope we, STEEM, will survive with or without CEOs like this.

I don't want to judge Ned. And I assume he wants steem to succeed as much as we do.
Maybe he didn't expect prices to go that low...maybe lack of experience(?). Whatever the case, we all know the potential steem blockchain has.
I may have used different words, but I have the same feeling. I'm trying to read even the technical stuff I don't really understand, but then I get sidetracked in all the ranting and the endless fights...
Just keep doing your thing and don’t get caught in between flag wars and rants.
My perspective is that if there is one thing that can change the financial status of people in every corner of the globe...this is crypto

The downturn is just new... but like the stock market things go up and down. Looking back at how the great crash of 1929 is easy... it recovered, but it sucks going through it.
At least till we see the other side.
Till then... the blockchain is still there, and apps can be built in it that are fun and keeps us around.
