Don’t Forget about the #minnowuprising and #upvoteplankton Initiatives

It has been about a week since things have settled down after the Hard Fork and I think it is important to remind everyone that a great initiative is in progress for those seeking to grow their Steem Power! This resource continues to be the fundamental resource for all operations on the #STEEM blockchain and with the introduction to Resource Credits, it also provides the key to engaging and earning throughout the ecosystem. The #minnowuprising initiative sponsored by @taskmaster4450 provides growing accounts a community to actively engage with others and provide support with upvotes to better distribute rewards to smaller accounts!

In case you have not heard, the rewards pool has achieved highs not seen before and is providing better upvote values and distributions to those actively engaged in the ecosystem. As the Hard Fork created a freeze on many accounts to engage, the rewards pool increased due to the lack of activity. In addition, the spammers that flooded the system and captured pieces on the rewards pool have been limited in their operations given the new Resource Credit Economy so that has meant additional rewards for those active. Therefore, there has really never been a better opportunity to grow your accounts through engagement!

I would tell those who have accounts at or below 500 SP to use the #minnowuprising and #upvoteplankton tags to gather the community together for support. I have been visiting these sections at least once a day to support the initiatives!

When the first #minnowuprising initiative occurred in July 2018, I committed to engaging with this community and posted every day for a month. I quickly realized the benefits of doing so and also found great content to read as well as it opened my thoughts to broadening content as well. It has led to a passion I now feel for many other accounts to grow within the ecosystem as well.
