SoS Daily News reaches 100 editions
The SoS Daily News has now been published every day since it launched on 3 December 2018.
It was initially set up to run alongside and help inform the debate of the State of Steem Forums that began 10 days later.
The SoS Daily News was originally conceived just to last for the duration of the Forums. But the service took on a life of its own and continued after the Forums ended last month.
Now with edition 100 it seems an opportune time to review.
Researching and compiling SoS Daily News takes over 4 hours each day. It is not a problem to continue assuming there is continued demand and interest.
Comments are welcome on the matter... Should SoS Daily News continue as it is? Should it continue in a more condensed form? Or should it end?
Pennsif's Three for Thursday
Pennsif will be back on MSP Waves on Thursday with 3 shows in three hours.
Between 8pm and 9pm UTC @elipowell, @andrarchy and @justinw of Steemit Inc will be on 60 Minutes of Steem, along with Dan Notestein of @blocktrades and @crypto.talk of Partiko...
The GAME Show occupies the second hour. This week featuring @disregardfiat of @dlux-io, @chrisroberts & @carrieallen (lore masters for Steem Monsters) and long time gamer @enginewitty....
Rounding off the trio of shows ALT.Life will be featuring the Homesteaders Co-op with founder @sagescrub alongside @nateonsteemit, @wwf and @diggndeeper.com.
@hauptmann will also be popping on to give an update on the @dtube.forum event that is taking place 17 - 19 May in Barcelona.
Crypto Voucher adds STEEM
@cryptovoucher has added STEEM to the list of cryptocurrencies that can be bought with their vouchers.
Crypto vouchers can be purchased online, locally (in some countries) or with gift cards (USA only).
Crypto Voucher has been developed by Fintegence sro of the Slovak Republic. Oracle-D introduced them to Steem and has been assisting them with the link-up.

Congratulations @pennsif, the SoS should continue to be very helpful for all of us.
Definitely keep it going, I've just followed! Having the news separated out into different sections, like all the Steemit Inc. posts in one place, is very helpful.

4+ hours is a lot of time and only you can judge if you can keep it up or not. From my side I really appreciate them and the work you put in for compiling them daily!

Making the posts in a more condensed form would be totally fine with me. Especially if it reduces the amount of time you put into them. :)
Thank you for your feedback. If I condense the posts it would mean reducing some of the areas I cover. I hope to avoid that if possible.
SoS is great the way it is. Has helped us find our way often enough. Great work @pennsif Maybe part of the compilation could be automated so you have less work, such as collecting news from different sources. Anybody an idea on that?

I don't think there would be any scope for automation really as it is the manual curation that is vital to select the most important posts. I usually scan and read through 300 - 400 posts a day to find the ones I include.
I really appreciate these posts and look at them a few times a week, click links to read, and tweet them sometimes. I don't have time to seek this out otherwise.
That is a hell of a lot of effort and time though. I hope you will keep them as-is and I can understand if you shorten or stop.
I am glad you find them useful.
They do take a lot of time - but it is very interesting work.
These daily updates are key for me given how busy I have been offchain this year so it is my go to post to see what important information I may have missed during the day! Congrats and thanks!
