On Steem I sometimes see people who always have their last 5 posts in the footer of their Steem blogpost. How do they do that? Manually?

It is very easy to do it.  All it takes is a little formatting. 

Please open the last five posts that you wrote. Then, select the post title and write it down in your new post like this

[NEW POST TITLE]

Then add the post URL next to it in parentheses 

[NEW POST](POST URL) 

That's it, it will appear just as a clickable link with no messy link ID
