Age Of Abundance: @fulltimegeek Going Botsh*t Crazy

in #steem6 years ago

We have another example why STEEM is at the forefront of the ushering of the Age of Abundance.

The key to this paradigm shift is knowing that change is coming. We only have to look around to conclude what is happening.

This morning I wrote a post about how machine learning is advancing and that it is going to cause havoc on the employment community. Overall, this is a good thing since our present system is nothing more than slavery. We submit to the masters each week for a few scraps called a paycheck. This is not how the human existence is suppose to be.

I watched @fulltimegeek's latest video and it baffled me. This is an absolute stunning display of the mindset that is aligned with the Age of Abundance. He decided to use technology coupled with his SP to create a magical system for the benefit of many.

Many complain that the bigger accounts should do more to upvote other accounts and stop circle voting. Here is an example of one who is doing just that.

Of course, his system throws a monkey wrench into the bot debate since @fulltimegeek create 100 bots on the STEEM blockchain. That is why I wrote that he is "going botsh*t crazy".

So what is taking place?

@fulltimegeek established all these bots to randomly upvote those who consistently produce quality content. It is an automated curation system that provides 1,000 upvotes per day to people who have a track record of providing content that enhances the STEEM blockchain. This is not a paid-bot service but one that he created to reward content providers.

His main focus is content posted on @dlive and @dtube. So all you video masters out there, this is an added incentive to post your content on those applications. You might find yourself in the random pool of upvotes.

From the last video, it is evident that @fulltimegeek has an issue with YouTube. I am not sure I understand why anyone would be upset with a couple of guys who start a business in college that enables them to mine people's data that they sell to unknown parties who will target them with solicitations (or worse) while censoring any opinion they do not like and controlling a substantial amount of the traffic on the digital platform that so many of us depend upon. Nevertheless, he feels that humanity might be better served if this entity was removed from our third dimensional experience.

This is true Age of Abundance thinking. We all need to support @fulltimegeek in this endeavor.

The first thing I suggest is everyone who reads these words start following him. He posts quality content himself plus he is an entertaining guy. Secondly, we all need to upvote his posts.

But why should I do that? Isn't that making only going to make the rich get richer?

No. If you know him at all, you understand that he will not stop at 100 bots. Look at his wallet, all his SP is delegated. Bet the ranch that when he gets another 30K SP in there, he will create 10 more bots to go around randomly upvoting content. That is how he operates.

Right now there is 300K worth of SP that is doing nothing but curating accounts. This means 75% of what those SP generates with the upvotes ends up going to the authors. That is a significant amount on a daily basis. This will help accounts of all sizes get a bit bigger piece of the pie.

Also, the curation rewards end up being rolled back in as voting power for each bot. As each bots SP grows as a result of curation rewards, the upvotes become worth more. It is an ongoing process of improving the payout on each upvote.

And because of this, many individual accounts will be enriched for their contributions to the STEEM blockchain.

We are entering a different era. It is no longer going to be "me" but rather "us". We are going to see the linear establishment of systems as opposed to the hierarchical. This means that it will be the collective as opposed to the individual that is focused upon.

The Age of Abundance will not be stopped. Crypto-economics is taking hold. This is just another example of what happens when people shift their thinking.

I suppose I’ll try to put my videos on dtube again. I’ve tried to do it before, but had issues, so I’m just posting on YouTube. If at first you don’t succeed....

@fulltimegeek will be happy with your conversion.....posting on DTube is his goal.

Maybe try dlive too...see what you can experience there.

Try @dlive They don't take beneficiaries while DTube takes a 25% cut (the last time I checked)

Speaking of the age of abundance, have you seen the v recent post on the #byteball airdrop within steem ....?

I just saw the post. Havent had time to read through it or set up a wallet for it.

So not sure what it is about. I hadnt heard of the project.

I just downloaded and received the airdrop - this is just the start of things to come...

I did it also. Yes it is just starting.

The Age of Abundance is coming....we are in the very early stages yet it is clear....we are witnessing it develop.

That's awesome! I'm going to have to start posting stuff on dTube! I really only do text posts, but I've been meaning to do a video and that's extra incentive. So cool to hear about people who are working to make steemit better for everyone. We all have something we can do. Even if we don't have much, we can still help other people out.

This is very beautiful post. i wish my all friend see this post. i like it very mush. your post don't waste my time. because it is so intrusting.

I watched fulltimegeek's video too, and besides the fact that he gets this platform, and understands what will boost it as well as anybody, Mr. Roboto (his own nickname for himself) turned out to be very funny, as well.

As for Youtube, your own very funny description of it, which made it sound like the Death Star, neglected to mention that "the couple of guys" who founded it actually sold it twelve years ago to the Galactic Empire (or was it the Spanish Inquisition) for more than a billion dollars (prompt wild cackling laughter from Dr. Evil!). As Monty Python warned, regarding censorship: "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

That said, I think the Death Star is immensely useful in the short term for recruiting Steemians, since I myself was taking a voyage through it's copious videos, when I happened to chance on a video by Crypto Investor, giving Steem a positive review. And that's why I signed up to Steem.

Nonetheless, growing dTube and dLive is more than necessary, since once Steemians are onboarded, they need somewhere to relax, out of reach of the Spanish Inquisition, the Galactic Empire and the Death Star.

As it happens, I myself have found fulltimegeek to be not only foresighted vis-a-vis Steem, but also incredibly kind personally. :)

Bright side of force :)
We were looking for these droids, ehm, bots :)

....... since our present system is nothing more than slavery.

Truer words have never been spoken!

Feels good that I already follow him and do my best to upvote his stuff and contribute in comments. I knew he was a credit to the block chain but had no idea he is doing this.

I could probably go mining the answer for myself but how does he decide upon "quality content?" Is it kinda like networking and browsing and searching and adding the names of people he stumbles across to a list or something more mathematic?

Glad you posted this or else I would have never known.

Hahah! I have been kissed by the @trufflepig in the past before once I think. It was a glorious surprise! ;)

Thanks for calling @astroboy! Here is a small upvote for this post and my opinion about it.

To my mind this post is at least 9 SBD worth and should receive 95 votes.

Pretty damn accurate estimate, buddy! :-D

@fulltimegeek is the best. I wish I had Steem power to delegate to him. Alas, he is far richer than I. All his bots have stronger upvotes than I do lol.
