STEEM: Millions Out Of Poverty
The STEEM blockchain is leading the way into the Age of Abundance.
A large part of this new era is the shift from money creation by only a few to many having that ability.
The Smart Media Token protocol is going to turn STEEM into a token factory, giving the opportunity to anyone who wants to create his or her own money.
STEEM is already doing a terrific job helping out 60K+ people. Anyone who is on the STEEM blockchain can earn money for posting, commenting, and upvoting. While some might not like the amount they are receiving, over time, some SP can be acquired. This is going to be very valuable down the road in my opinion.
The idea of earning tokens is only going to get easier when SMTs arrive. Over the next couple of years, we will see thousands of tokens tied to all kinds of different projects. People are going to be able to go to those sites that interest them and earn. We are already starting to see how this is going to work.
@steemhunt and @steemmonsters are leading the way. Each of these projects allows people to participate in activities that could earn them STEEM or some other currency. @steemmonsters is developing the game where people will be able to earn STEEM. At some point, we might see a SMT for that game.
@steemhunt stated their intention to create a token. As of now, one can go to the website and earn Hunt tokens even though they are not released. Once the SMT protocol is released, the Hunt token will be paired with STEEM to enable anyone, if desired, to convert it to STEEM.
The creators of that aim to make a Hunt token economy. This is a token system within a token system. STEEM is developing into a token economy also. As more entrepreneurs create businesses on the STEEM blockchain, we are going to see that materialize.
Some people in third world nations are starting to improve their lives by earning some STEEM each week. This helps them provide some of the basic needs for their families. At the same time, people are getting together in groups to enhance their power on this blockchain. That is only going to improve the situation for those people involved.
As we see this spread with the addition of newer tokens created, I can see millions of people coming to the STEEM blockchain to earn. This will spread to the first world nations also. Tokens are going to be a way for people to compensate for their lack of incomes. Of course, we know not all tokens will be valuable. That is where the pairing with STEEM is so helpful. Anyone who earns a token can swap it for STEEM. If you are optimistic about STEEM long -term like I am, this is not a difficult decision.
STEEM is creating abundance. @steemhunt showed how there is enough. We do not need to operate from a perspective of scarcity. The STEEM blockchain is going to provide a lot to all. I had people tell me there is not enough STEEM so that is why it will fail. Here is an example how one's holding of SP, at least in terms of tokens, doubled by the addition of the Hunt.
How many more times will we see something similar in the next 2-3 years?
There will come a time where one can come on the STEEM blockchain and earn tokens for doing whatever he or she is interested in. We are going to see billions of dollars worth of tokens on this blockchain at some point. People are going to have the opportunity to get a piece of that on a daily basis.
Of all the blockchains out there, STEEM is the only one I see who is doing this. I know there will be others that follow. That is why I am so confident that we are entering the Age of Abundance. The tokenizing of the world is starting to unfold. An entirely new paradigm is taking place.
And STEEM is at the forefront of this. By the end of the year, we most likely will have the SMT technology in place. Those who choose to become part of the STEEM nation (digital "nations" will start to form) will have the opportunity to increase the money they have.

That's right, friend, steem is changing lives and revolutionizing the way to earn money. little by little more people are joining, helping to innovate and make the network bigger and bigger.
i admit i am poor at economics but where is the money going to come from? It would help if you listed business models, who would drive them, who are the customers and how revenue will be earned (services, products, ...?)
are we assuming that all businesses will forklift themselves onto the Steem blockchain and transact on us? i am assuming that these businesses have to be in content publishing/aggregating/ curating...
today, we know that most content is not paid for. advertisements pay for it. how will that work on steemit?
People can create value it's just supply and demand. Money is now an old term. It's just value exchange with Tokens. You are the product and service.
These questions make a lot of sense. The way I see it is that there will be pay-to-play services, hopefully thousands of them using the Steem blockchain and STEEM and SBD as means of payment. This will create demand for STEEM and SBD and drive up the price of Steem Power. Anyone accumulating Steem Power at this stage is like an early stage investor in a project that has the technical capability to be the backbone of all that traffic.
I've seen many project posts already from impoverished countries. Cryptocurrencies and the whole crypto family is going to bring hope to many people.
I am just glad I am here on time to see this unfold. Very eager for SMT's as they will level the playing ground especially for new comers like myself and we will have a base to build sth worthwhile just like those who started 2 years ago have.
Really looking forward to seeing how far we will be in an year's time. I have faith. I will be a full time Steemian one of these days (near future hopefully)

That sbd hype is for short termers with no vision...But SP is the real game for belivers.... Those who wants to do something for this community will never think short term...but those who doesnt understand this will never be successful on this platform...

I didnt mean SBD is a bad currency or anything..its the life force of steem it. but SBD is now being abused using bid bot more than ever..

I agree people are helping in different ways. But I think that steemit is also doing a great job and is a great project for gathering people at one place to understand each other, share ideas and make money by contributing.
I really agree with your point, Steem is specially affecting people who are living in third world countries and people are getting basic needs because people who live in third world countries they think about the current day needs and that's why we can see that many people from third world country coming to Steem and trying to work hard to make it here and that's really an great sign. And great thing about the Steem is it's community driven platform and people can create their own community and they can grow together and before no platform gave this kind of freedom and that's why we need to develop more decentralisation Sphere.
For sure SMT's will be game changing and then we can participate in this tokenize world effectively and many projects will redirect towards the Steem and that will inturn push Steem to new heights and that means our efforts will not go anywhere and an time will come when we all will be proud of our achievements.
