Uganda Steem School To Be Launched
After several months of Steem and Steemit popularity in Uganda, there is a need to mentor and educate people about the Steem blockchain and how it's Decentralized Applications (Dapps) work,which include Steemit,Dtube,Dlive,Busy.org,dsound,dmania, etc.
There are people who joined Steemit, but still have no idea about Steem and it's blockchain activities. Not only promoting Steemit, but we as team Uganda we are sacrificing our time to teach people the benefits of cryptocurrencies and how they can adopt them in their businesses. All these classes will be conducted free of charge for the good of the Ugandan Steemit community and influence more people to adopt cryptocurrencies.
It's so disappointing that, people join Steemit thinking that it's a get-rich-quick scheme forgetting the other opportunities available on the steem blockchain. In Uganda, it's not common to find people talking about the blockchain tech or cryptocurrencies.Most people are totally green about digital currencies, they even call it a scam. Here in Africa at large, the majority are very comfortable with fiat money not realising the benefits of cryptocurrencies and it's industry.
More people are opening accounts on the Steem blockchain as team Uganda is expanding, but will their accounts be active and effective? It is already proved that some people are leaving the platform a narrow view of how the Steem blockchain will benefit them. Actually they don't plan for the future.
Now, the plan to start a Steem school in Uganda is in progress. We are now working hard to raise funds that will facilitate the activities of the project.
