Welcome to Upvotebuilders, the community where you receive boosted upvotes daily according to your membership level. Membership level is determined by your SP delegate to the community pool. Leased SP Renewal
I donated 3.20 Steem to add to the 3.4 Steem balance to extend a 650 SP lease that was set to expire today for 2 more weeks.
I may donate Steem to lease more Steem Power for @ub-sub1 later today of tomorrow so that I move more members to that upvoting account.
Pause In New Membership
There may be a pause in New Membership or a category of membership… I want this community to grow to where it can sustain itself, it is growing but the funding to manage the SP required to deliver the upvotes is what I want to be able to manage if no donations or sponsors are available.
If a pause is put in place then our growth to a manageable level will greatly rely on members upgrading their membership and not on additional SP leased. With relief on the main account and it been able to upvote our post will also help a lot in extending the lease when they about to expire.
Featured New Member
As already mentioned when we did the introduction of this section that when we have new members we feature them first before continuing on our featured list for old members. We have two new members but will feature one today and another tomorrow and if we don’t have negw member after them we continue with our list.

Membership Upgrade
Some members have been kind enough to upgrade their membership by delegating additional SP to their current delegated SP. This is really helping to grow the community SP which in turn grows the value of our upvotes.

Membership
Membership @upvotebuilders is by DELEGATION ONLY, it is not a paid for community. If you want to sponsor the community you can freely delegate SP to us and specify that it is for sponsorship or you can send us Steem/SBD to lease more SP. Our sponsors don’t receive upvotes from the community account except they specifically want to be a member and also sponsor the community in the way they feel best for them.
To join just delegate SP to @upvotebuilders based on the membership level you want to belong to according to the chart below
Membership Delegation Levels
Level 1: 10 - 49 SP delegation - 5% voting weight
Level 2: 50 - 99 SP delegation - 10% voting weight
Level 3: 100 - 249 SP delegation - 20% voting weight
Level 4: 250 - 499 SP delegation - 30% voting weight
Level 5: 500 - 999 SP delegation - 45% voting weight
Level 6: 1,000 – 2,499 SP delegation - 60% voting weight
Level 7: 2,500 – 4,999 SP delegation - 75% voting weight
Level 8: 5,000 – 7,499 SP delegation - 90% voting weight
Level 9: 7,500 and above gets you 100% voting weight
All membership delegation levels will receive one upvote daily (every 24 hours) this is to curtail abuse of the system. You can always increase, decrease or undelegate to @upvotebuilders at any time and we will adjust your voting weight accordingly.
How To Delegate @upvotebuilders
Goto https://steembottracker.com/bottracker.html,
• Click on "Tools" and then "Delegation Manager".
• Enter your username without "@" symbol as Delegator name.
• Click on "Load" button.
• Write "upvotebuilders" as Delegatee name.
• Enter amount as Steem Power.
• Click on "Delegate!" button.
• Steemconnect page will open and now you should click on "Continue" button to approve delegation.
You can also undelegate using this method by changing the delegation value to 0. Thank you.

@ketcom I was working on another post to advertise for @upvotebuilders, but I don't know if you want me to or not if you are thinking about a freeze on new members. I thought the point was to get new members so that the upvote power would grow for all of us. Let me know if you want me to hold off on the post.

Hello @blueeyes8960, thanks a lot for your efforts to growing the community. You have always promoted it and it is highly appreciated. Yes, the goal is to get more members so that it increases our SP which in turn makes our VP more rewarding. But the reality is that we have a lot of members on the lower tier membership i.e 100 (20%) and down, while everybody is appreciated in reality the more members we have that are not of higher tier membership 250 SP (35%) and above, the more it becomes a burden on our VP. 10 members on 100 SP delegation contributes 1000 SP, they'll each receive 20% upvote (200%) meaning our VP is reduced by 4% to deliver that while 2 members delegating 500 SP contribute the same 1000 SP, but they'll receive 45% upvote each (90%) and our VP is reduced by 1.8%. As you can see from the analysis, we are growing in numbers but not in SP such that it is sustainable. So, having new members will be great if they are of top level membership because that will build our SP to deliver good returns. But increasing lower level membership is not building our SP in such a way that it can be sustainable at the moment. I honestly do not want to stop anyone from joining because what I desire most is that the community helps us all to grow. But the reality of how Steem works as regards SP and VP is something we have to consider. Pausing of membership or only allowing a certain membership level to join I hope will not be a permanent thing, but an opportunity to let the community grow i.e. via curation received, membership upgrades and probably the Steem curation change to come. I really hope you do understand. Thanks.
