WARNING: Phishing Attacks - Look Out For Suspect Links in Comments. Think Before Clicking.
@sircork has just informed me that unscrupulous users are taking advantage of the recent technical issues here to post phishing attacks in comments on people's blogs. Some high profile users have already been hacked.
If you see comments from these users:
vanisa
eruda
- then definitely do not click on any links from them.
The second account has even been resteeming posts about previous warnings for phishing on the blockchain.
Automated anti-phishing systems will kick in soon.

It certainly justifies us becoming a bit paranoid when sommeone candidly share a link and you fear you could be hacked. Yet it happens
Many steps are taken within browsers and in networks to protect users from fraud links, but the scammers always seek new techniques. Usually, thinking twice before clicking and taking a look at the destination address and the poster is enough to highlight problems. Automated services will warn about suspect accounts once all servers become operational again.

Normally when you put you mouse cursor over these links, doesn't it still show where it is going to take you ? Or did people get caught by not paying attention ?

Yeah, I'm notoriously wary about clicking links from unknown anyone. I'm fairly trusting in person, but on the web, I'm an avowed privacy geek.
