Steemit tools

There are a lot of great tools available on the Steem blockchain to make the world a little bit easier :) . In this chapter I wil discuss the tools I use most to get the most out of Steemit or which I use for information about my Steemaccount.

Steemplus

@steem-plus is a add-on on Steem, you can use it within Busy.org (an alternative for Steemit), within Google Chrome and other webbrowsers. I use it within Google Chrome. You can download it from the Google chrome webstore , here . When you activate it in your browser you get a lot of extra options within your the steemit website which can be valuable information.

Reputation score

When you enter your blog page the first thing that takes your attention is the decimal behind your reputation score. In the normal site it's withou decimals so now you can see exactly when your reputation is going up a level..

Steemian Type shield

An extra feature is that you see which Steem Type you are, like the picture a Plankton II. When you hover over with your mouse you see how many SP you need for the next one.

Usertype

Next to the username you see the reputation of the user, it can be Spammer, Bot or Human. You can tweak the database by giving your opinion on that particular user.

Extra menu options

There are several new menu-option whcih gives you more information then the regular Steemit site, go and check them out.

Real account value

The given account value in Steemit is based on the average on the payout window. The Steemplus is on the actual value

Links

There are a lot of predefined links to all kind of great tools. Check them out to see which info you get from them.

As you can see @steem-plus has a lot of cool features to help you control your account and information.
Go check Steemplus out to see what more great features they have.

Steemworld

Steemworld is a website where you can get a lot of information about your account.
You can enter is by https://steemworld.org/%your steemit username% when you enter is you get a big view of all sorts of information.

I wont put screenprints for every option, you can look for yourself but the things you can see here, among others, are:

  • Your upvotes, who has upvoted you and with what percentage / amount
  • Pending author rewards, if you want to know how much rewards you will receive the next 7 days
  • Pending Curation reward, the same as the author rewards but then for curation
  • Your amount of Steempower, and you can visualize what your upvote will be with another amount of SP
  • Who your new followers are
  • Who mentioned you

As you can see, you can get a lot of information from Steemword.
I use it mostly indeed to see my rewards (always fun to see) and to see who upvoted or commented me. That works much easier then the Steemit website itself.

Steemit basic income

@steembasicincome is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content. You can donate a steemit basic income share to someone for 1 steem. When you do that you get one yourself and for every post you put on steemit you get a upvote from steemitbasic income.

I have given shares in steemit basic income to people from which I thought they had great content but not the recognition the deserve, that way we help eachtother out :)

eSteem

eSteem is a additional editor for dekstop or mobile, it gives you a great interface with all nice features on top of it. It is developed by @good-karma , I have used it now for several times and one of the cool things is that is keeps your pictures in a online archive, so if you want to use it again you don't have to upload it again. That's great when you are putting posts from your mobile for instance.

more info here

busy.org

Just like eSteem @busy.org is also a alterntive for the steemit website, but different then eSteem is't solely online. The interface is fresh and nice with some standard functions (like a slider for voring) which aren't standard in de Steemit website. I must confess that I only use the Steemit website , but I have the luck having some good friends trough which I can use the slider within the steemit website :)

This post is part of a serie, the older posts you can find here

In the next part I will discuss some things about curation strategy, keeping inspired to post and some other cool things :)

Have a great sunny day

What a useful post. I haven't explored Steemplus yet though. This is surely helpful to anyone, so they don't feel too lost on this platform. Good job, @verhp11 :)

Great choices for the beginning Steemian. I'm assuming that you covered @dustsweeper in a different post, that would be my number 1 advice for the beginner.

Thanks dustsweeper will apear on the next episode , with some other helpfull initatives for beginners.

Your post is valuable for me. go ahead.@shahin1975

Yes 3rd steem tutorial post. Thanks

Tips are great... Looking forward to part 4

Thank you 😀

useful information. i did heard about the steembasicincome but i am not so much clear about their function. Suppose i send 1 STEEM with a link of another user's in memo, then do i get a upvote from steembasicincome forever? is that like so?

Yes than you both get a share and a upvote forever. But be sure to know that with one share for instance the upvote is a cent (each time)

Haven't heard about steemplus before - thanks!

All these tools are quite nice, but the one I was lucky to stumble upon pretty quickly as a new user, steemworld, is an incredibly valuable tool. I use it to see comments and upvotes, same as you, but it has been even more improved over the past few weeks to include incoming curation rewards in addition to post rewards. And it's all free, truly amazing !

Aha! I see a new tool that I have never heard from as yet, okay cool!

Let me check it out, going going dude in the tutorials..but this is like an advanced tutorial already haha

:) there is so much to learn hahaha
