Why Steem Is Perfectly Fair:

This is why I don't get too upset about unfairness on Steem.  I just see it as we each have the ability to upvote and downvote using the amount of influence we have in the platform.

After that it is discussions and opinions.  I also think those with the stake have the ability to do as they please with it.  We can all react with the full weight of our stake.

This is a highly simplified, but fairly accurate view of how Steem works.

Due to inactive accounts, downvotes and non-vested stake, you actually allocate more than your share of the reward pool if you use your Steem Power fully.

Steemit isn't here to feed the poor; it is a social network where you might earn rewards. Rewards are not guaranteed. If I need to make an income so I could eat and cover my overhead, I would not be on Steemit. Investing in cryptocurrency is a gamble and getting paid to post content and curate in crypto is a social experiment. People are getting all butt-hurt because of overblown expectations. I said this way back when steem was worth 10cents when I joined Steemit. I didn't complain when the trending page was the same people day in and day out. At least with bid-bots, we have some hilarious shit posts and some excellent posts. I like the variety on the trending page....hahaha that is the way life is in Samsara (The world of desire). Life is unfair, do something about, I like to laugh a lot, it helps. I know as a little influencer I can't change Samsara, but I can change how I react to it.

@reddust

"Steemit isn't here to feed the poor

its already feeding the poor.

This, this and more of this. :)

I enjoy your post @whatsup; I need to say this as much as possible. You are a little clear voice in a sea red-faced huff and puff mumbley-grumblers.

And that is why I love her. :-)

I love her too; I am emotionally remote, I need to act more cuddly...hehehe

So nice, that not only do I love both of you also, but I value your opinions! Whoot.

Steemit has become a circle jerk casino, albeit with a guaranteed profit. Wonder where the chart is heading to.

I'm not even sure what you mean.

Either does he lol he is just repeating stuff he's heard from jelous people who don't have stake and think its too unfair to try... Its actually very fair and when you actually consistently post valuable or interesting stuff you do get notcied...it just requires consistent daily hard work AND something people want to see something of value or in demand, and in demand info is easy to find you can get a sconstant feed of more than you ever need to post on steem here at https://reddit.com/r/bitcoin there you will find enough memes to sort through and make "best of reddit bitcoin subreddit digest" posts forever and it will lead you to OTHER sources of great info in demand here on steem.... Also the Twitter an Instagram crypto feeds and even news.bitcoin.com will give you enough stuff to learn a specialty to post about..... Theres no excuse... Theres always something to do like explaining how Steem works to new users.. Youd be surprised how many whales and big investors still don't evenm understand how steem workd and where new steem comes from.. Its still.l a mysrtery to MANY people lol a lot of it is because many don't like to say the dirty I word inflation because steem does have a Consensus based inflation that decreases every year and its nothing to be ashamed of, bitcoin has inflation its just mined proof of work with electroicity consuming ASIC miners while stee,m is just mining RAM on a handful of Witness nodes and those 20 top witnesses host our blockchain and produce the new steem in the reward pool or SIGn those new BLOCKS, because obviously anyone can produce a block but not everyone can sign them only those witnesses can and they gotta get voted in by stake owners and its a great elegant system!

Your wordings are as dense as Hegelian psychobabble. Many people are so obsessed with upvoting their own shit that they forget how to write properly.

People are like Mr Meeseeks

Loook at meeeeeeee, me me me. Not about adding value, that's my take on it anyway. It is a real reality check when you compare it to other free social media where upvoting doesn't really mean as much.

My concern is the Steemit headline.

"Get paid for good content"

Like seriously? You're not smoking something like this? LOL😂

writing-power-supply.jpg

How about changing the slogan into the following so as to set things right.🧐

"Get paid to buy votes. We are bringing the real-world election vote buying to the blockchain."😜

"Also don't forget to circle jerk your fellow rich jerk to maximize your profit."🤑

And now people call it revolutionary and will change everything, decentralize everything, including our shit.💩 Again, you sure you're not smoking something? Let's get back to sanity please.

minnows-are-getting-fvcked.jpg

Oh please... People make more here for every level of content than they do nearly anywhere else. The fact that you can't see through your jealousy doesn't change that.

HAHAHA, put that in your pipe and smoke it. As they say, you want to change the world you gotta change yourself, much easierrrrr. Look at meeee!

Well seeing as the time it takes to develop a stake in Steemit is a lot less time to dedicate than solving poverty. At this rate, I'd say it's worth it.

@basilsolomon, if Steem Inc. becomes a successful blockchain for businesses and apps, plus it's lightning fast transactions those who have invested in Steem through social media accounts monetized through blogging or buying Steem for investment will have a nice passive income stream as the value of Steem grows. I don't know how SMTs will work for small accounts like me on this social media site. I am looking forward to new developments and investments! Only a few here will be able to make a living at blogging, especially if they live in the West where everything is so expensive.

@whatsup,
This always means collect SP, collect SP, collect SP! So I am doing!

Cheers~

You have a solid point. That's why I feel those who do not see any reason to hold Steem Power or invest in the platform have no right to complain about its unfairness

yes Ma'am I agree completely. well said.
or I guess I should say 'Your Highness" sorry.
oh sorry.."Your Royal Highness."

They can use their voice, but at the end of the day, if you can convince anyone on your point of view, this is pretty close to how it works.

Invest, you mean financially ? Everyone invests whether it be with time, money or both.
Financially, it may have escaped you, the majority of members here can barely scrape together enough cash to eat 3 square meals a day.
Too much context on this blockchain is based upon first world mentality. The world is a huge diverse place and people should try to use a more global context when commenting I think.

That's not fair! I need 99% control! ;) lol

Just to clarify. I did read this post. Even though my bot upvoted it. I was present and attending.

I don't think the general Steemian community is against people voting their stake.

What seems to upset people is big rewards being reaped by vote circles and bid bots. It's viewed as a form of corruption.

In the case of bid bots, most of the time they aren't profitable but the numbers don't show that on the surface.

Voting circles are very profitable and exclude everyone not in the club.

I keep saying it over and over, the bidbots are the greatest equalizer to ever hit the platform.

The bidbots are funded by people who are doing what they chose to with their stake.

It is a false view to consider it corruption to use your stake to finance businessses on the site. It is just a matter of preference, not who's morally right.

Personally I agree with you. That's just my interpretation of the chatter that I see.

I'm 100% in the camp of if you want to change the system, put up your stake and do it.

Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at him.

-Mark 12:17

Amen

Jesus is dead. Get over it!

The King is dead, long live the king.

Interesting take on it, there used to be the golden rule, "he who has the gold makes the rules" that has changed to , "he who has the steem power makes the rules". Might is right !

Whether or not they are right, it is a stake based system and whatever does or doesn't happen here they have the most to win/lose

That also means that content quilty has no meaning. Its just the opinion of the rich. I would support this system with 1 change. Nobody should be able to power up. Everyone should earn their stake through payouts.

That is the system we have. You are supporting it. :) I am glad of it, but I am not sure many realize that is the basics of how the site works.

Not exactly supporting it. I am gaming it to gain more stake. Much like everybody else.

And I support that, and I am glad you are choosing to do that. I hope it is a win/win situation.
