Fifa World Cup is Here!

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd World Cup that has been hosted. As of today, 8 days remain to enjoy ourselves with the amazing skills to expect from the different players. This year's World Cup is jointly hosted by three countries: Mexico, the United States of America (USA), and Canada. In fact, it is seen as the first World Cup to be hosted by three countries.

Which country do you think is going to win this year's edition and why?

The country I am expecting to win this year’s 2026 World Cup is Argentina because they have experience and highly skilled players. Their defenders, such as Nicolas Otamendi and others, possess quality physiques and can position themselves well without allowing the opposition team to enter the line and score, similar to their midfielders and strikers.

In fact, they stand firm, where players and supporters can rely on them. Although they have won numerous World Cups, including 2022, I hope they will perform better in this year's tournament. I believe they are in Group J, where they aim to come out as the top team from their group. France and Spain also have high chances of winning this world cup because they have numerous players who are top notch and also doing well in their respective clubs.

Which nation do you think is the underdog that could surprise everyone and why?

Senegal is the country that could surprise everyone in the World Cup because their players also try everything possible when it comes to winning against their opponents. Senegalese players like Sadio Mané can put more effort into leading to be heroes for the World Cup because anything can happen in a football match. Those nations that we think would not reach the top may gradually rise at the final stage and become celebrated worldwide. Senegal is the only African nation we have hope with, and they can shine better in the group stage because they do not miss high chances that come their way.

What makes a World Cup tournament truly memorable for you, besides just the winner?

The World Cup will be memorable for us because it is full of excitement and entertainment, where everyone derives joy. It is a collective effort that brings different cultures together to be as one as well as to create unexpected friendships. The spirit will come when we show love to our country, especially to support them when they are winning their matches against opponents.

Players also console each other after one of them loses the game; they would embrace and exchange jerseys in order to commemorate the match they have played together. This normally occurs sometimes when the players thank their supporters or fans for being there for them all the while, especially when they win a match that is very tough. Some fans will also give them a standing ovation because they know what it takes to win those matches, especially if they are unbeaten.

Are there any specific players you're really excited to watch in this year's edition? Why?

Messi would be among the players I would try to watch his matches anytime they play with other nations. He was confirmed by FIFA as one of the legends of football and also holds many records that no player has reached since the beginning of football.

He has won eight Ballons d'Or throughout his career, and I would like to see how he dribbles past other players to the extent of entering the 18 yard box and eventually scoring for his team. In some cases, he always likes to assist by passing the ball to one of his teammates when he gets the chance and scores the ball for their country.
