How do you see news from CNN? Conduct a survey around the world and feeback will shock you. Have you taken time to listen to Aljazeera, how many persons feel news coming from them is the truth? On which side of the story are you? Are you with the news reporter, the victim or a neutral person? Stories of events around the world have always being told by reporters and journalist, how many times have we had it from the horse’s mouth. Although, news rooms have improve on their reporting by allaying stories direct from event areas putting some of them at risk in fact most have lost their life, recently two journalist die in rain storm somewhere in the USA not to mention hundreds that have been killed in different war zones. So, who do we get information from the natives or the crowd surrounding an event? How do we certify that the information is real and verifiable? How can we get real-time information? Yes the advent of smart phones have also improved real time record and gathering of information but genuine and authentication of such data before it goes out to the world is also very key. So where do we seek solution… Eventum has it!!!

Eventum is the first hybrid data gathering platform that gives powers to the natives and the crowd. Thanks to the blockchain technology which has been designed to be irreversible and trustless, smart contracts written on blockchain can be encrypted in such a way that parties agrees on the outcome. It’s a digitally crypted contract that can only be activated once the set agreements are met, making it trustless, transparent and immutable. Information about an event is gathered from the crowd filtered and turned into real-time information. One interesting thing is that the crowd (individuals that submit information) gets paid for submitting valid information about an event. Information can be declared valid having passed through the “wisdom of crowd principle” to confirm it. This information can now be stored on blockchain and can be accessed by who needs it after paying some token. Not only the crowd that benefit from this awesome idea, organizations and developers that have always paid so much to acquire data will get it at low cost. The wisdom of crowd principle works on the consensus method where a group or good number of person validates a data in a transparent way. This is achieved through a crypted algorithm of votes.

The EVT token is a very important feature of the Eventum platform; it will be used to pay for fees and pay data contributors. Every data that passes through the platform does with the token performing one task or the other. The overall demand for data will increase the request for the EVT token and make it valuable.
This is really a wonderful idea to improve the news we hear removing all sort of bias from our view on news. In addition, creating a transparent world where everyone will be confidence and feel secured about that event.
