About to scoot to bed, but remembered my Blog Post for this monthly blog challenge.

I don't have much to say. But being up late at night is always a bit surreal in itself. I've always been a night owl. There's a quiet over everything, a calm. Sometimes, like tonight, you can hear a train a ways away in the distance.. probably passing through the junction where the tracks split the city into two before the hill does the same.

From the balcony, you can see the quiet flashing of the red on the roof of a building. Or other lights off of other buildings.. and windows sometimes dark and other's glowing with that shadow dance that means the tv is on inside their den.

And if you are up late enough you can hear the beginnings of the morning birds that means in a bit the horizon will throw up a splinter of a lighter blue as the day comes to visit you..

There's some bird out there starting to chatter.. but it's one of the night birds.. and just so...
