"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Greetings and blessings for all this beautiful community, today I would like to join this study on the Beatitudes led by the apostle @darlenys01, I want to contribute with this analysis on the beautiful sermon of the mountain given by our savior Jesus Christ, believing that this series of studies will bring spiritual growth in us.
First we will begin to study the first of the 8 beatitudes given by Jesus:
Blessed are the poor in spirit...
What does the word blessed mean?
The bible says in Romans 4: 7 Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. From here we can understand that our favor begins when we surrender before God. The blessing is not only to obtain earthly benefits but rather to seek God and believe Him. God crowns us with favors and mercies, gives us excellent things in life, but the greatest blessing is HIM.
A fortunate person is a doubly fortunate and happy person.
When Jesus teaches us how blessed the poor are, he is referring to those who dispose their hearts to God, those who let themselves be transformed from within and truly please God. The first characteristic of the poor in spirit is the need of God in all aspects of his life. We all need God but only those who are aware of that need and are willing to satisfy it have the promise of this bliss.
...for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
The kingdom of heaven is the promise for the poor in spirit, an ineffable happiness, where without a doubt this God. So, to whom belongs the Kingdom of Heaven, everything that Heaven has belongs to it. Therefore it is time for us to live here on earth as such people, full of light, harmony and peace.
Dear friend I invite you to make yours the kingdom of heaven, that this bliss becomes real in your life, and as the prophet Daniel said a kingdom that will never be destroyed, to this kingdom you must cling and anchor your heart to things eternal.
