Opportunities ABOUND!

in #steemchurch5 years ago

Oftentimes, we tend to dwell so much on a closed-door that we could barely notice when another door opens. We act like our whole life depend solely on it even to a point of giving up hope on other things.

We feel things will never get back to normal because a door was closed behind us.

The truth is when one door closes another one is most likely to open. Doors are programmed to be that way if a door is permanently locked, it simply means there should be an exit somewhere. At this point, the window could serve the same purpose as a door. And when I say window, I don't mean doing things the wrong way.

So, if a door was closed for some reasons, do not give up! Try to move on and have an open mind. They say opportunity comes but once although I totally disagree with the statement. There is no limit to what life can offer. The sky is only a starting point and not the destination.

I believe, once there is life then there is hope. You cannot separate existence from hope. The fact you have lost an opportunity doesn't mean you won't have a shot to a different kind of opportunity next time especially when you did everything within your power to make use of it.

The fact someone broke your heart doesn't mean you won't be able to love another. Holding on to betrayal will only pull you down. It's like an embargo against yourself.

The fact you've lost a well-paid job as a result of the managerial decision beyond your control doesn't mean you won't get another one.

I remember when I failed an interview with an international organization. It was a nightmare. I thought all hope was lost, I felt it was my only shot of getting an invitation from such a reputable organization.

But I picked up my pieces and kept applying to the same organization. Just last week, I got another invite for the same position. So, you see, when you think you will never get another shot, behold another one is already waiting for you if only you do not give up.

Giving up is never an option! We must learn to be strong in order to overcome all the hurts, trials, struggles, and pains. Yes, I felt the pain when I didn't make the cut from the recruitment. I grieved for a while but decided to move on after a few days. And I said to myself "It is not the end of the world!" Life must go on!

Frankly, these things happen for a reason. A door was closed for a reason. In life, we either learn from the dark or dwell in it. Some doors were never meant to be in the first place, they were temporarily placed there for a particular reason. And not all doors will remain open forever. Nothing last forever. People come and go! An opportunity come and go! Such is life.

Besides, it gets better when your faith is all geared up towards better days, knowing we serve a God of many chances, everyone deserves a second chance anyway, but God can help restore any dashed hope back to normal in Jesus Name, Amen!
