8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:7-8

My first encounter with Jesus was as a child. My parents are God fearing Christians so we were taught the ways of the Lord at an early stage in life. We would attend church activities plus the morning devotions were top-notch. As a child, it wasn't easy waking up as early as 5 am for morning devotions. Sometimes, I would pray in my heart for my parents, not to remember, but they always do. As I get older, it became part of me to wake up that early for morning prayers, but all these didn't make much sense till I fell sick.

I was so sick that I could barely walk for 6 months. We were referred to a hospital in the United States Of America by the doctor handling my case. After a series of medical X-rays, it was discovered my spinal cord was affected and that was why I could barely walk so I needed a surgery. My parents weren't financially buoyant as at that time, we would even barely feed, but they decided to source for the fund from outside the family.

In my little mind, I decided to try out all that I've been taught about Jesus. I decided to personally communicate with Him and pour out my heart to Him, and guess what? He showed up and saved me, that was my first personal encounter with the Savior. I have never looked back ever since. I can't count the number of times Jesus has saved my life over the years. The doctors were amazed at how I got healed without any surgery. When, I had another X-ray to confirm my ability to walk, my backbone was normal as if nothing happened. We were once again referred to another big hospital to confirm the x-ray. Jesus never change, the result came out the same. I became a living testimony to many doctors. Today, I am still a living testimony even to myself. Jesus is real!

Are you wondering if there's any chance Jesus is still the same? Maybe you've heard stories of how powerful He is and all the things He can do? Or maybe you've tried to reach out to Him for help and it seems He is not coming through?

Listen to this; do not give up on Him for He will surely show up and you know what? Your situation can never make Him change for His word is yea and amen! He is always here with us working in our favor

They say change is the only one thing is constant in life, but Jesus remains unchangeable.

His love shall never change
His mercy endures forever
His Majesty remains the same
The fact that He is the only way to the Father still remains the same.

In conclusion,

I encountered Jesus when I could barely understand His Personality, but He showed me love and answered my prayer. His love made me whole and I am so thankful to Him. I don't know what is your story, but one thing is certain, He sees your heart and He is waiting for you to make the call. You can always count on Jesus!
