“JESUS” The Green card to Eternal Crown

A crown which is a reward of victory or a mark of honor is a recommendation for every Christian. The only ticket to gaining this reward is through Jesus. He is our principal focus; He is the way to receiving this crown of glory, without Him there is no crown.

To live an acceptable Christian life, we must look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, (Heb. 12:1-3). Jesus must become our principal (main) focus before we can live a glorious and victorious life towards receiving this crown. But we simply understand that it takes a man that has eyes to see. A man who has no functioning eyes cannot see anything. So also it takes spiritual eyes to see the Lord Jesus Christ, many of it are physically not blind but spiritually blind.

The agony of spiritual blindness is in-explainable for a blind man, restricted and limited to particular spot. This is why many Christians, remain at a point for many years.

We cannot see Jesus but can only see the unnecessary. A spiritually blind Christian remains localized, because what moves a blind man is an eternal force. A spiritually blind person cannot move by himself as at well without any external help or aid.

The scripture is our spiritual foresight, Psalm 34:5 says they looked unto Him (Jesus) and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed. Many remained blind, though they can see the temporal things of life but their eyes cannot see the good treasures awaiting them, in God’s kingdom “because they have not so learned Christ” (Ephesians 4:20).

All we need to look at is Jesus, because he is the way, the truth and the life, Jesus is everything we need in this world and even in the world to come (John 14:6). Example of a spiritually blind person is Lot’s wife.

All she saw was the treasures and the hedonistic affairs of Sodom and Gomorrah. Instead of looking forward unto Jesus, she looked backward at Sodom (Gen 19:26). The scripture says whoever lose his focus on Christ by looking back is not fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62.

Apostle Paul in his letter to the Corinthians church said “while we look not at the things that are seen, but at those things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 9:18, Hebrew 11:1). Judas had the same teaching from Jesus, as other disciples, but He differs by having different focus unlike other disciples; his focus was on money and earthly gain.

Many today who claim to be followers of Christ are only day dreamers, for they only build castle in the air. Many of them are distracted by insignificant things from beholding that which is significant (Jesus). The worst tragedy is for one to behold something but look the ability to take hold of that thing – Jesus is the way, He is the way to every good thing we want to become in life; a road map to the crown of glory.

Jesus is the fundamental inheritance of the saints, a man in Christ is a progressive fellow, and he posses the ability to see what others could not see. As disciples, we must act like the Psalmist, by lifting up our eyes unto the hill (Jesus) the source of our help (Psalm 121:1) and have Jesus, as our principal focus with constancy.

A man that wants to be crowned should avoid distraction. We should realize that our life on earth is temporary and all we have on earth is vanity. Therefore we should focus and establish the truth and be committed to achieve the crown in Godliness.
