UNDERSTANDING WHAT PRAYER IS (part 2)
To a large group of people (and most students), praying is a burden. They do not have the enthusiasm to pray. And due to this, they neglect this vital part of their relationship with God and instrument of taking charge of their academic lives. In fact, some students would prefer other people praying for them while they read. They do not like praying. Some assume that prayer is the last thing to consider, especially when things are not working as expected. Others; still, believe that the time for prayers ought to be for studying.

Irrespective of our different assumptions, we should understand that prayer is never a burden but a privileged task to effect the will of God in our lives and that of the society. You need to develop interest in it and also discipline yourself to put your knees down for prayers.
Having said this, it is important to know that prayer is not a thing of the flesh. Prayer is spiritual and that it would require the Spirit of supplication to create in you the passion and joy to pray.
The Spirit of supplication
God promised to "pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication: and they shall look upon me Mal:4:5 . (Zechariah 12:10). Now, everyone who believes and has received Christ belongs to the house of David.
