THE MIND OF CHRIST
Memory script: Let this same attitude and purpose and humble mind be in you which is in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:5

INTRODUCTION
The mind your choose to develop determines the cause of your attitude, and your attitude determines your altitude in life. To every decision made, there is a decision seat to it, to every cause of action of man; it starts from the mind of Man.
What pulls Man up or down before action starts from the mind. And if a battle is not won from the mind? It will be impossible to overcome in reality! 2Cor 11:3.

The battle for the soul of man started from the mind. Mark 12:30. We sometime wonder why we are limited in our receiving from God, why many of us are kept stagnant with no breath of progress? Check the mind! The mind of Man is so complex and complicated because a lot of things go on within it.
Your attitude places you in the right position of receiving from God. God can do it again and he has already started, but are you and I mindly prepared
through our attitudes? Imagine having the power to rise above our petty, contrary, and often thought patterns to view our world and
circumstances as Christ. The scripture tells us that once we give our lives to the saviour we have the mind of Christ. 1Cor :2vs16.
This simply means we have the ability to maintain the same focus and values as Christ has. And despite this assurance in the word of God it is necessary for every believer to develop in order to be of full value. Phil 2:5 the word of apostle Paul is to LET, this is an action word and a choice.
According to the Bible, mankind is distinct from all the rest of creation, including the animals, in that he is made in the image of God. As God is a tripartite {trinity} -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit --so man is three parts --body, soul and spirit. In the most explicit
example from Scripture of these divisions, Apostle Paul writes: Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your
spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23. Man is
made up of physical material, the body that can be seen and touched. But he is also made up of immaterial aspects, which are intangible
-- this includes the soul, spirit, intellect, will, emotions, conscience, and so forth. These immaterial characteristics exist beyond the physical lifespan of the human body and are therefore eternal. These immaterial aspects -- the spirit, soul, heart, conscience, mind and emotions -- make up the whole personality.

The Bible makes it clear that the soul and spirit are the primary immaterial aspects of humanity, while the body is the physical container that holds them on this earth.

MIND- mind is simply the non-material substance in which consciousness thinking and will are based.

ATTITUDE- is the disposition or the state of mind.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MIND........Rom 1:28 Jer 17:9, Gen 6: 5-6, Rom 8:5-7.
A. The mind of Man- This is the default setting of every man after the fall of man.
a) Desperately wicked and corrupt. Jer 17:9
b) Enmity to God
c) Pride

B. The mind of Christ - this is a renewed and regenerated mind
