The Bible tells us about the communion of Moses with the Lord in the following words: "The Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as he speaks to his friend (...)" (Ex 33.11a). We can see, from Exodus, in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible written by Moses), that the expressions that are repeated all the time are: "And the Lord said to Moses", and the Lord spoke to Moses , saying "," the Lord replied to Moses.

All the time we find God and Moses in frank and open dialogue about the people of Israel and God's plans for them. Several times Moses interceded for the people. Several times we find the conversation of friends between the two.

We are going to find the secret of Moses in Ex. 33: 7-11, as he could have God so close to himself. This passage tells us about the daily custom of Moses: he carried the tent very early, far away from everyone and focused his day on communion with the Lord.

We all have our own daily customs. They are small habits that become automatic for us, like: what we always do before going to bed, when we eat, when we get up. But we need to have the custom of Moses: have a moment alone with God, away from the noise and pressures of everyday life.

It is interesting to know that the people who lived with Moses accompanied him in their habits as well. Moses was being accompanied without knowing it. The people, at the door of their tents, also worshiped the Lord when they saw the pillar of cloud, which symbolized the presence of God, come down and stand at the door of the tent of Moses. And God spoke with him face to face.

When we are ready to seek the Lord, He comes to meet us and the eyes of the people around us also accompany what we do and they are encouraged to pray and worship God. Our children, our spouse, our neighbors and co-workers perceive how much we seek the Lord and feel challenged to seek an intimate communion with God. How many mothers wake up at dawn to pray for their children or spouse and think they are not being seen. However, when the son's or husband's encounter with God happens, they hear their testimony saying that they saw and heard their mother praying and worshiping.
