Our Plans, Plans of God
The human being likes to make plans for the future. Plan how you will live after retirement or how to enjoy the home you bought to pay for twenty five years. Sometimes, the plans are for the near future, as did Henry Ford, the inventor of the automobile. In April 1947, many of its properties had been heavily affected by floods. On the seventh day, going to examine them, he saw almost everything that had happened and, not being able to conclude, warned that he would return the other day at nine in the morning. That night he died, and at eight o'clock in the morning his death was announced to the world. We can not depend on ourselves in anything. Our lives are in the hands of God, who is the "Author and Preserver of all life" (Numbers 16:22).
It is common for people, even Christians, to use the expression "God willing" without, however, perceiving that all things only happen because God wants or allows. Everything is under His sovereignty and government.
This should lead us to an attitude of submission and rest. With God there is no luck, chance, unexpected or chance; He is the absolute Lord over any situation. Those who love the Lord must surrender to Him, accepting His will and allowing Him to be the Lord over His present and future.
"You must say: If the Lord wants, we do not only live, how we will do this or that" (James 4:15).
Yes Sister! Making plans is good to be focused on the goal we set, an organization without plans walks like a ship adrift. The consideration we have to take into account is to place those plans in the hands of God.
