SERVICE UNTO GOD AND MAN (A TIME TO PRAY FOR NIGERIA)

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

Good morning noble men of steemchurch, I hope all is well. For our Lord Jesus said for those who have love and kindness for another may also have love for the Father to serve Him. For it is written "Do unto others what you want others to do for you" The Golden rule

Men of today always say we are serving God, but do so with their mouths but not in their hearts. For the Bible said "He is at our doors steps knocking to enter so if we accept him, he will come and dwell in us and when he comes we will become a different being.

Yesterday I was reading a news from the internet saying "85% of the population of Nigerians lives in poverty, meaning only a small percent of the countries population can afford a simple living" God save us all.

People use to blame government for their selfish and greediness, but to me we the citizens are the selfishness and the most greediness.
How can a fellow man have 20 buildings and not even one room for the fellow, are we going to be buried with when we die....No so why are we so been cruel to our fellow being.

Last time I went to the Ghana Commercial Bank for some service, and I saw a man coming to deposit money in dollars will be $1,000,000, so I confronted him and us we were chatting he said he has about $7,000,000 in his account. So I asked him what are you keeping the money and he told me is for his children's. Do you know is good to save for your children.....? But as we were discussing, someone called and was a family member asking him just for GH¢300 which will be about $65 and this man told the person he doesn't have money. So I looked at him and couldn't continue our conversation.

This how most of African's behave, we care for our only immediate ones not our neighbours and relatives.... Change for the better....

Let me tell you this 85% living in poverty, some will turn to armed robbers and later on come and harm you, so if you have a little to do to save a life do so now.... For the little you give today may save a life tomorrow.

Let me take you to the Bible and look at what the Bible said about service to God and humanity.
Service is the conscious effort made to offer a free will undertaking in the interest of the recipient. God created man and ushered him into service
(Genesis 1:27-31)

The Greek word for service is diskonos, It means ministry. God the Bible specify on the fivefold ministry as in Ephesians 4:11. "And he gave some apostles, and some prophets and some evangelists and pastors and teachers" God has made us overseers of a given field of life. We therefore serve but not to be served....

Mortals as we are should be humbled so what we can know the reality of our service unto Jehovah Elohim. Service to God is directly proportional to service to humanity. For divinity to recognize and identify the service of a person, it must confirm and agree with the manifestation in the humanity. If Jesus says, I was hungry and you fed me. (Mathew 25:35). It means we minister unto Him indirectly as we offer our service unto men. Pause and meditate on this saying from Jesus. "I must do the work of Him that sent me when it is daythe night comes where no man can work. Jesus gives a perfect example of the heart, devotion, proper timing and an attitude that must go into service onto him.

Our service unto God is not a group but individual ministration onto him. Do you serve men as you serve GOD....?

Please brethren let us all come together and pray for mother Nigeria

Sort:

Truely, service to man is service to God, for the Lord said "I was hungry and you didn't give me food" and he added if you do something to someone never think of the individual but unto the Lord.

Include in your prayers to Venezuela that I join you to pray for Nigeria, amen!

Good theme of publication.

Very well said, as the Bible says,
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Praying for you and your homeland

I really like your quotation

We must fight for others as Christ first fought for us through. That he poured his blood to save us. Thanks for sharing.

May God continue to protect and uphold His country Nigeria and all other countries to His glory.
We need to keep praying for the peace of Our Jerusalem.
