STEEMCHURCH:- LIFTING HOLY HANDS BRINGS VICTORY

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

How important the lifting of your hands is to God! When you lift up your hands, it's not just sign of worship; it's a ministry! It's the most beautiful thing to behold when God's people lift their hands to Him in worship. As you speak forth words of praise to God and lift up your hands to heaven, you are sending increase of a sweet-smelling savour to Him. The lifting of your hands has taken the place of the burnt sacrifice, and your prayers, the burning incense. When your hands are lifted up, thats the time to adore and thank the Lord; the time to worship Him, not time to beg and cry. Its the time to make sacrifice of joy that springs from a heart full of love and thanksgiving.

Every time a minister tells you to lift your hands in worship, dont get tired and put your hands down quickly. Moses found out there's something powerful about lifting your hands. It wasn't written in the law, but he discovered it! Lets read his discovery:.

"And moses said unto Joshua, choose us out men, and go out, fight with amalek: tomorrow i will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Joshua did as Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun" (Exodus 17:9-12).

How remarkable and instructive! Now, the Lord didnt command Moses to lift up his hands when he got to the top of the hill, but he, aaron and hur observed that whenever he lift his hands, Israel prevailed, but as soon as his hands come down, Israel began to loose. So the two men got Moses a stone to sit on and held up both his hands. And as long as Moses hands were held up, Israel prevailed.

Paul also understood the importance of lifting our hands, so he charged us in 1Timothy 2:8 "In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy."

Yeah @sc-n,

The lifting of our hands in worship, prayer and Thanksgiving is a way of releasing ourselves into higher realms of Glory

It's indeed a blessing.

Just as there is a vertical dimension to worship, there is, also, a horizontal dimension. David said, "Many will see (that is, know God's presence) and fear (or revere and be awed by him) and put their trust (or find security) in the LORD in the Lord" (Psa. 40:3). As David praised God many saw it. The did not merely hear his praise, they saw him praising. And, in turn the same security that David found in God, they, too would find that security and join David in worship. David's joy before the Lord was his witness.

When hands are lifted in worship, It represents total surrenderedness and vulnerability. This opens us up to the help only God can offer. Thanks @chazzyexclusive for sharing this

Thank you for sharing at this hour...you made a good call!!

Similarly as there is a vertical measurement to adore, there is, likewise, a flat measurement. David stated, "Numerous will see (that is, know God's essence) and dread (or respect and be awed by him) and put their trust (or discover security) in the LORD in the Lord" (Psa. 40:3). As David applauded God numerous saw it. The did not just hear his applaud, they saw him lauding. What's more, thus a similar security that David found in God, they, too would find that security and join David in venerate. David's euphoria before the Lord was his witness.

Much obliged to You for your commitment.

Wow it's fine

we life in the word always ask helpful to our god right...
