Don't Embrace That Suffering

Any suffering you are experiencing or going through is just temporal. It has it's expiry date and will vanish when the time is due. This is why you should not give up too early because of what you are going through. There is still hope in every situation even the worse ones.

A lot of people embrace their suffering when they have tried all they could but to no avail. They get to a point where it seems all hope is lost and they have to accepted the situation the way it is. Some people have accepted their poverty, sickness, their unsuccessfulness in life as part of their life.

Whenever they get into a conversation for any period of time, they bring out their suffering, display it to the other person. They then let the people they talk to know their unsuccessful attempts in dealing with their suffering and how they have eventually embraced and accepted it as part of their life.

A story is told in John Chapter 5 about a man who had an infirmity for thirty eight years::

Later on, there was another festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem is a pool called Bethesda in Hebrew. It has five colonnades, and under these a large number of sick people were lying—blind, lame, or paralyzed—waiting for the movement of the water. At certain times an angel of the Lord would go down into the pool and stir up the water, and whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was healed of whatever disease he had. One particular man was there who had been ill for 38 years. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” The sick man answered him, “Sir, I don’t have anyone to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I’m trying to get there, someone else steps down ahead of me.” Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” The man immediately became well, and he picked up his mat and started walking. Now that day was a Sabbath. John 5:1-9

Throughout those years he had made several attempts to fall in the pool after an angel of God has stored the waters but all his attempts failed.

He had no one to even assist him to get into the pool and that made him to give up and perhaps was waiting for the day when death will take him away.

You will realise that still narrated and recounted how he has suffered over the years when Jesus asked him if he wanted to be made whole.

The years of suffering has conditioned him to embrace his situation and accept the fact that he has no helper and therefore he wasn't going to be healed sooner or later.

Friends no condition is permanent in life and your suffering will eventually leave with time. Never accept or embrace any suffering just because you have tried many times and have failed.

Just like Jesus was able to relieved the man with infirmity so He will be of help to you.
