All-Mighty And Powerful God

Text: Genesis 17: 1-2

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to
Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be
thou perfect.
And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee
exceedingly.

The bible teaches that God is Omnipotent. This means that God has powers without limit. He is all-mighty and all-powerful; He is the ultimate and final authority. In Genesis 17:1 God told Abraham I am the Almighty God.

God is the final authority: for “with God nothing will be impossible" (Matthew 19:26).0ur God is the Only God: God says, “I am the Lord, and there is no other. There is noGod besides Me" (Isaiah 45:5). In Deuteronomy 4:35 the bible says "the LORD is God; there is none else beside him". God is Allpowerful: the bible makes us understand that nothing is hard for God. The power of God is Eternal and nothing can be hidden from God. It is right to conclude, therefore, that there is no one like God. He is allpowerful.

If we conclude that God is the all-powerful and eternal Supreme Being, then we must rely absolutely on him for all our spiritual, material and physical needs. The woman with the issue of Blood benefited from this supreme power. By faith Abraham and Sarah received the blessings of a son at old age. Hannah, Elizabeth and Rebekah, are all beneficiaries of power of the One and only God. Are you trusting the Lord for job, success in you endeavour, healing, etc. the great blessing in trusting the Lord is the confidence we walk in as we look to Him for everything that we have need of. The scripture draws the contrast of those who depend on humans for strength and have stopped trusting in the Lord. They don't even know about the good things that God can give. But we who have placed our trust in God have found Him to be faithful. Instead of cringing fear we walk in confident faith because it is not in ourselves that we trust but in the Living God who is trustworthy in all areas of our life.
