Humbleness

One of the criminals who was hanging there railed at him, saying, “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!”
But the other rebuked him, saying, “Don’t you fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
we rightly so, for we are getting what we deserve for what we did, but this man has done nothing wrong.”
Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you are in your kingdom.”
And Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

There are so many instances ,life takes People through in that make us say things that are not true. But what happened to Jesus is not a new thing. Jesus on the cross with the other two criminals was but a disgrace and one thing we should understand is that the son of man did no one wrong ,but at this time he was treated like a criminal .

He was amoung them, as a criminal but did nothing wrong .The reason for Jesus being there was that through His death man will live ,but one of the criminals did not comprehend this and told the Lord to free himself and free them as well if he is the son of God. But the reality is that the prove Christ's sonship wasn't in him escaping death but instead resurrecting from the dead.

But the other criminal, with a contrite heart admitted that he was a sinner who deserve that punishment but not Christ. With this he believed in the lordship of Jesus and pleaded Him to remember him in His Kingdom.
Your faith in the son of God is an absolute sign of humility. It takes a humble heart to receive Jesus as your Lord.

Humbleness is a sign of dependency on Christ. It is trusting in the divinity of Christ and bowing heart to it. Humility begins in the inside of you, the expression of the character of God in your life. We say you are humble when your volition, desire, thought and affection are set on things above where Christ is seated.

You have been proud for too long. How many times do you want to prove the sonship of Christ? Accept the Lord and depend solely on Him as your Lord, for this is humility.
