Jesus teaches to fear God
For Jesus it was of the utmost importance that his disciples feared God in submission and pay attention to his words
what they hear in darkness bring it to light because there is nothing concealed that is not to be manifested and even if they are persecuted, do not fear because nothing and no one can stop the proclamation of the gospel, for what they observe in the darkness, say it and let him know proclaim it on the roofs
Jesus always wanted to instill confidence in his disciples many times spent hours and hours to get to their hearts and discover their weaknesses and fears
For this reason one of the things that Jesus asked them was:
"Do not be afraid" Jesus urges his followers not to fear men which is destructive because He knew that fear was one of the things that held man back and paralyzed to fulfill their dreams and carry out the command of God on earth that was to preach his gospel to every creature
However the fear that he spoke to him was different from the kind of fear that the world infuses, he commanded to revere "fear of God" which is constructive
The Bible argues in proverbs 29.25
"the fear of man will bind him, but he who trusts in jehovah will be exalted"
No follower of Jesus can practice or keep things that belong to the darkness but are called to bring them to light and make them public
In the same way we have a call to not fear men who infuse destructive fears and do not edify
Jesus commands us to trust in his love
(1John 4:18 ... perfect love casts out fear ...) Jesus is our perfect love therefore his love allows us to cast out all kinds of disturbance
When that love is in our lives fear is totally lost because the Holy Spirit fills us and gives us courage to overcome all satanic malice </center
"Blessed is the man who fears the Eternal, and delights greatly in his commandments. His offspring will be powerful on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Goods and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever "(Psalm 112: 1-3).
