When the word of God comes into our lives it does so with the intention of producing a reaction that leads us to God's purpose. The Lord raises the prophet to reveal his plans and at the same time that prophetic voice activates the spirit of the people who receive the word of the Almighty.
"Wake up, wake up, put on power, oh Zion; put on your beautiful clothes, O Jerusalem, holy city; for never again will he come to you uncircumcised or unclean. Shake off the dust; get up and sit down, Jerusalem; Release the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion" (Isaiah 52: 1-2).
The word of God reveals your condition
If God says get up is indicative that you are sitting, if he says that you take the sword indicates that you are disarmed.
