Micah 5:2-4 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousand of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to me, the ruler of Israel whose forth going is everlasting, therefore he shall give them up until the time that she who is in labor has given birth, then the remaining of his brethren shall return to the children of Israel. And he shall stand and feed his flock, in the Lord’s strength, In the majesty of the Lord, and they shall abide, for now he shall be mighty to the ends of the earth

Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel”

Luke 2:7 “And she gave birth to her first child, a son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there wasn’t any place for them in the inn.

Luke 2:17-20 “And when they say it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them

Matthew 2: 10-12 “And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they went down and worshiped him. The, opening up their treasures, offered gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. And receiving a warning in a dream not to return to King Herod, they departed to their own country by another route.

John 1:10-14 “He was sin the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not, he came into his own and they receive him not, but as many as received him were given the power to become sons of God. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man. And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.

We should have talked about the rest of the lessons a long time ago however time and workload didn’t allow me to talk about it, irrespective of that I would like to highlight it before the season passes completely and the holiday mood passes away. So in the lessons from this point onwards focus on how Christ came to be born to the virgin Mary and Joseph, in lineage of Kind David, in a small town called Bethlehem. The story of Christ’s birth says a lot and proves lots of prophecies and teaches us lots of lessons if only we will pay attention. Lets take a look at a few.

As powerful a king and mighty as Christ is he humble himself so much so that he allowed himself to be born in manager with sheep, we need to be humble as Christians, let’s learn from the savior himself. The holy nature of Christ would not permit his conception by intercourse, what this tell us is that holiness is an integral part of Christian life that should not be taken lightly or for granted. Jesus actually comes from the least of the families of Israel as at the time of his birth and yet he was and is the greatest of all Kings, what we learn from this is to never undermine anyone irrespective of their roots because you know not what his or her destiny may be.

I am going to leave it off her for the time being and hopefully we would be able to learn more from the bible as time goes on but until then, I wish each and every steemian a blessed day.
