Today the apostle Abiye Inaugurated in @farms, the challenge of trivia with the following question:
Explain briefly what the steemchurch community is about and establish how your steemit trip impacted.
I have always had the vision that, when a Church is born, many positive elements for society are born. Hope and miracles are born for the environment that surrounds it. Peace and love are born. Values are born and there is freedom. Etc.
SteemChurch means that for us and much more. We can remain in victory as we are persistent and agents of change. There will always be a counterpart or a challenge that measures our faith, but we must be strong and work for the good of all.
When we look at the seriousness of the work and the dedication of the workers in the early church, we perceive the importance of giving ourselves to the service of God today. But the "Christianity" practiced by many, today, is a soft and cultured religion too much to provoke a revolution similar to the impact of the gospel in the first century.
Undoubtedly, many factors have contributed to this tendency to dilute the faith and make the message that upset the world 20 centuries ago harmless.
Acts 17: 6-7
... Those who upset the whole world have also come here; to which Jason has received; and all these contravene the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus.
We will never identify all the factors, much less convince everyone of the importance of radically changing the direction of their lives, but we can use the basis of the orientations that Jesus gave to the apostles to see some of the dangers that we are currently facing.
The danger of negligence and laziness
One of the biggest problems among many who consider themselves followers of Christ is not a deliberate decision to abandon the Lord, but an attitude of negligence. It is very easy to get involved with things in this life-things that are not necessarily wrong by themselves-to the point of neglecting the things that really matter. Jesus warned of the danger of "the care and deceit of riches" drown the word (Matthew 13:22). Could it be that we are too busy to serve the Lord?
Today more than ever, the world needs us. We can not limit ourselves to throwing words into the air without first having determined in our hearts, to implement the necessary actions to promote the full gospel of Jesus Christ to every necessary place.
LAZINESS IS CONTRARY TO DILIGENCE.
In Matthew 25: 13-30 we read the famous parable of the talents. We should not fall into the attitude of the evil servant who wanted the Lord to tell him what to do, if we do not have to be diligent and begin to act in what He has already told us to do. We must act under the guidance of the Lord and be diligent in what He has already commanded us to do. In this parable we see that the Lord gave talents to his servants, and he left; a time later he came back to ask them what he had already given them. We should not set our eyes on how much the Lord can give us, if not on what he has already given us.
The opposite of diligence is laziness, and we do not talk about the extreme laziness of sleeping until very late, if not of what the Bible tells us in Matthew 25:36 "Servant bad and lazy ..." this man ended up being a bad servant and lazy because of not being diligent. "The word lazy in the Greek is" not diligent. "Lack of diligence makes us lazy.We might think that this man still had some excuses for not doing anything because only they gave him a talent, but the Lord pointed out to him the laziness with which he acted, doing nothing, let us not take responsibility for how little or much we have to do in God, only be diligent in what He has commanded us to do, Anyway, even the one who had five talents did "the little thing".
Distinguish between good and evil
A world in which God does not exist becomes in any case a world of arbitrariness and selfishness.
The Bible gives a strong warning:
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; that make light darkness, and light darkness; They put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20
To understand the line of demarcation between good and evil, we must listen to the voice of the Creator. Only if God appears there is light, there is hope. Our life has a meaning that we can not invent, it precedes us, it takes us.
Modern society has been too educated to embrace concepts of certain and incorrect, true and false, and absolute values of morality and ethics. We face a constant pressure to be politically correct and tolerant of all kinds of aberration. In the religious context, many demonstrate a spirit that denies the need to teach and challenge people to make difficult decisions and make radical changes.
I always say this and I still hold it: The Church is the moral guide that governs society. People have to see Jesus and you in me. Someone said: there are 5 gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and 5 is the one you and I live). Although somewhat sarcastic, but does not deny the reality and the principle that people will talk about Christ as much as possible of what copies us.
I called this publication: The Current Challenge
The apostles were faithful to fulfill the mission that Jesus gave them. Today, we have the privilege of spreading the same message. We are going to be faithful and dedicated in this work!
We are going to show that we love God more than money.
Let's say yes to life! Yes to Peace! Yes to love your neighbor!
We are going to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the first Church of the chain of blocks, to share as a community, as a family and as brothers.
We are going to innovate with intelligence, to use the gifts and the teens so that the wisdom of God shines on the whole platform.
